If you'd actually list who is putting what for sale, at what rate, it would make a lot of people think twice about deliberately undercutting or blocking the market. Then you'd solve a lot of the problems you have created.

First life markets don't publish information concerning the originator of equity orders, (however they do publish the trading office issuing the order though), because that information is irrelevant to the sale of equity. I can’t believe there is any justification for publishing that information in the LindeX. For a fair market to be sustained we must treat it as equivalently as first life markets.

This is not first life. First life rules, laws etc do not apply here.

It's quite clear to many of us that the market is being manipulated and deliberately crashed by a small group of individuals with their own agenda that does not benefit the vast majority of people playing SL.

You are able to access all this information and seem unwilling to confront the people doing the damage. If you allow us access to this information, then we can see exactly who is behind the problem, and take the necessary action including boycotts and making their destablising actions known to their clients.

The only way you are going to stop the devaluing of the L$ is to publicly expose those guilty of market manipulation, even if you don't publish the information until after the transactions are completed.

Every player should have an equal voice in the future of SL, not just the big players. If you don't do something, there won't be anything left to have a future with.

What is market manipulation in a free market economy?

If I want to keep posting a sale of $L100 at 315, 316, 317 etc, that is my right. That is not market manipulation. The problem is the demand for my offerings. It is just not there.

Why? because there is an over supply of linden.

Why can't you understand that?

Geez lol.

I think your real problem Lewis, is that you have a reaaalllyyy hard time grasping a free market economy.

Please take a few minutes to study up on the laws of supply and demand. You will have a much better understanding and things will be much clearer for you once you do.

It will not pin the price, but it will help to smooth things out.

The problem is that it's being deliberately manipulated towards a crash, so that a small group who hold a lot of money who want to get stipends removed are then able to control the market by releasing limited amounts of cash to people who need it having no other income - and push the rate nearer to 250 so they get more for their money, whilst the buyers are SOL and have no alternative.

This isn't a free market at all. Markets go up as well as down... and right now it's being forced down by a tiny percentage of self-serving individuals with nothing more than their own profit on their minds.

The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works.

The LindeX is Closed. I'm going to the gym but when I get back and the LindeX has reopened I expect to see lots of limit buy orders posted.

The equilibrium seems to lie somewhere between 317 and 349.
