And we wonder why Uncle Same taxes us to death. Its to pay the salaries of do nothing government workers.. Figures.. Enjoy the welfare, both SL and RL.

From: Jonas Pierterson I don't pay extortion money for information I can't trust ReserveJoke. The way you pinch pennies leads me to believe that you wouldn't spend 100$ on info..so no..no trust there. You'd be amazed at the people you run into at The Green Room Comedy Club in San Francisco. Everybody has a price.

Everybody has a price. Unfortunately I see you ass too tightfisted about money to let one dollar go. No, theres no way to trust your data as you probably made it up.. show us or quit talking about it since its on you to prove your case.
edit:
cmon show us how premium players are on welfare..since we -pay- for our stipends

From: Mad Wombat What if the Lindens use the USD we give them each month to buy the L$ from other players on the market and transfer it to us instead of "printing" new money. By that, less money will be put into the economy (except the basic account stipends) and the price for L$ will drop, because the demand for money will increase. Then LL wouldn't have enough $ to pay for bandwidth, salaries and other expenses.

The first message in this thread has been updated.

(One could say that the value of the forums is dropping because certain people won't stop flooding the market with their... um ...content.) Anyway, the first message on this thread has been updated to include the relevant sentiments towards the idea of a seperate non-transferable 'upload credit' and it's effects on the L$ value. If I mis-represented your point please clarify. -- Tired of the same old lines... looking for new ideas and approaches.

I think the current system distributes uploads to where they are needed more efficiently maybe. If I want to upload a huge amount, I can, I just have to pay for it. Whereas many people would have not much use for upload credits, and if it's non-transferable, it would have no value to them. A person who needed to upload a huge amount would be restricted. I really think, LL should just get busier with sinks, there's plenty of possibilities for new sinks. I would like to know how much does go out in sinks. It would be not insignificant. There's a lot more than just uploads and ratings. There's groups, partners, find listings, sim rentals, classifieds (some people are paying $25k for one classified for one week), first land purchases, probably more that I've forgotten. There's also unofficial sinks... players dropping out and their $L vanishing with them.

From: Jesrad Seraph Then LL wouldn't have enough $ to pay for bandwidth, salaries and other expenses. Then layoff those expensive Americans and offshore the world to India. They only cost 1/20th the amount of an American.
