I posted last year that while looking to settle in the beautiful landscaped paradise Anshe promised, all I could find were ugly disjointed square islands. I was told if i couldn't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. Nice to see them admit it at last. Hope it works out.

a dangerous poisoned plant need to be unrooted quickly and burned to its roots

By whom? Are you wanting LL or the community to do the uprooting?

I'd interpret it that the entire community and SL should be uprooted and burned. But Kyrah may have been being more specific.

I aproached mr. Guni Greenstein, inquiring about the art parcels, i said hello, and he replied "this is not a sandbox" and promptly flew away.

I tried to follow him to inquire again about this, trying to start a conversation, by pointing out that i've never seen someone terraform a sim before, to which he replied

Some ***holes already took screenshots of unfinished land and used it to trash us

And again, flew away.

I resumed pursuit, to ask a third time, but Mr. Greenstein was just... busy/ignoring.

I do guess the ***holes have a motive to be the way they are towards you Mr. Greenstein.

Have a good day, and i really have no interest whatsoever to deal with you or the company you work for.

Thanks :)

Furthermore, as Second Life goes to the Metaverse, and this becomes an open platform, Linden Lab risks lawsuit in court and [attachment culling] will, I repeat WILL be reverse in court.

At ANSHECHUNG.COM we believe in a Second Life world that is more than an endless random collection of land parcels. We believe in diversity, culture and places worth exploration, while at the same time empowering people to realize their own dreams.

In the new continent of Islandia we are working on a large scale consistent development that will feature different landscapes ranging from very structured areas to wild mountain ranges. As you know we do this within a very tight timeframe and within the constraints of a very competitive land market. However, we are up to the challenge and we are confident that we will be able to provide you an area that will be attractive to both land owners and visitors.

Some of the sims we are designing will very much work like blank canvases, allowing land owners to shape their islands any way they want. Round or square, or maybe shaped like a heart or a flower? Become an artist and "paint" your island shape!

To continue this analogy we will name each of those "blank canvas" sims after a famous painter and will donate a small space in the centre of each of these sims for educational purposes. Our vision is that while exploring Islandia, people are also able to explore some of the history of art and learn about the works of painters such as van Gogh, Dali or Wahol.

Each of these small spaces will be a 10m x 10m island on a 240sqm land parcel with 55 prims. It will be in a very central and visible location.

This is where we would like to invite you and the community at large to participate. As a single business we could never emulate the creativity and diversity of the artist community as it exists here. Islandia will also be part of the mainland and some spaces will become Linden protected. This is why we would like to give more people a chance to get involved and open up some of the creative process to you. We'd like to give more people a chance to leave their mark in the SL world.

We consider this a first experiment. If it is successful, then in the future we would like to expand the same process into other areas.

Here is how you can participate:

o We will set the sim nts55 up as development sandbox

o nts55 will be sectioned into 240sqm land parcels, each bearing the name of one of 12 famous painters of the 20th century

o You can then create educational/artistic installations that meet the design criteria as listed below

o Make sure to save your work since there might be wipes or prim overflows

o Submit a folder with a copy of your work and/or screenshots to me (Guni Greenstein). The name should consist of your SL name and the name of the painter you picked.

o You can make one submission per painter.

o Best entries will be chosen on Monday 23th and placed on protected land in the new sims.

Design criteria:

o Low profile and unobstructive infrastructure type of design. Something that people who live in the area can look at day after day after day without getting tired of it. Also keep in mind that next door people might build anything from a medieval castle to a space ship.

o Must give you an impression of the style of the artist. For example after visiting the Monet installation a person who has not been familiar with paintings by Monet should have received a rough idea of his work.

o Some information about the artist and his background should be provided in a newbie friendly way, such as through a notecard giver or other effective means.

o Optionally you can add a small "about" feature that provides information about yourself, how you made the installation and other stuff related to the project that you would like to share.

We hope this invitation appeals to you. If you have any questions you can leave me an IM and I will try to get back to you.

How much ya paying? :D

Yes. I AR'd the original post as an advertisement. Where does Anshe find these sleazy snake-oil salesmen? The pitch is just so disingenuous that it makes me want to go take a shower.

In regards to moderation, I am not a moderator and do not expect to become one. It would be like hiring a winner of last-years demolition-derby to help drive kids to school. Sure, she's an excellent driver but what parent would be able to put her past profession aside? :D

I think this is my favorite thing you have ever posted, Ulrika.

PS - Guni is Anshe's husband.

This thread started with a land donation and an invitation to join a non-profit project for the benefit of Second Life at large. I have invested several hours of my time without any financial motivation whatsoever. Land is not easier to sell with an educational/art installation in the same sim. It usually sells faster if the sim is empty.

Immediately afterwards this thread was hijacked by haters, who seem to make it their cause to oppose, ridicule, harass, attack and fight whatever comes from Anshe, is somehow related to her business or that comes from people associated with Anshe. Many of the names on this thread are familiar. On another thread, one of the same posters just wrote that Anshe would "fuck with the devil" and "death to Anshe". This is exemplary for the mindset of some people here and their constructive attitutes.

Congratulations to everybody involved in the bashing! You have been successful in griefing me and in destroying my motivation. I am not willing to put any more time and effort into this project, nor into any similar non-profit projects in the near future. Because my motivation was not to make a buck, but to do something cool with the community, some people managed to ruin it with a lot of bullshit in this thread, in several other threads and in world. I am all up for teaming with people to be creative and to make SL a better place for everyone, as is Anshe. But I am not willing to wade through a pool of shit full of haters.
