From: crucial Armitage HEY Jamie
how many of these buy orders are yours the way you like to try an panic new or inexperienced people in to selling NOW i would bet that a good deal of these are your buy orders.
L$346 / US$1.00 1 L$69,270 L$347 / US$1.00 3 L$91,080 L$348 / US$1.00 2 L$254,338 L$349 / US$1.00 4 L$176,605 L$350 / US$1.00 6 L$559,237 L$352 / US$1.00 1 L$100,000 L$356 / US$1.00 1 L$61,992 L$357 / US$1.00 1 L$12,495 L$359 / US$1.00 3 L$108,436 L$360 / US$1.00 4 L$156,000 L$363 / US$1.00 1 L$33,333 L$365 / US$1.00 2 L$103,000 Actuall 31% of those are mine and the rest are from legitimate currency traders. I would guess these are Jamie's. L$370 / US$1.00 1 L$700,000 L$5000 / US$1.00 2 L$500,000 L$70000 / US$1.00 1 L$1,000,000 L$999999 / US$1.00 2 L$1,999,999 Look for large blocks not lots of small blocks as the number represents traders not individual offers. As some of these trades don't represent a very good value for the market seller I urge sellers not to sell at the market, however if you must I will gladly resell at a rate well below the current limit sell offer to help stabilize the market. I don't think people should smoke either and urge people to quit but have been invested in Philip Morris of 15 years to reap thousands of USD in dividends and long term profits. If I can't influence other peoples behavior I might as well profit from it.

From: Jamie Bergman Tomorrow is Welfare Tuesday. If you have any L$s in your account right now, it is best to sell them NOW because the L$ is going to drop hardcore tomorrow (historically) because LL is going to print up L$60,000,000 of new cash and throw it in the economy.
You can buy them back on Wednesday at a much lower cost.
This has been a public service announcement. Lets see what happened last Tuesday when Jamie was crying out that the lindex was getting crushed at 336/1. Hmmm, rest of the week it was in the mid 320s. Those that listened sold at 336 and lost out.

This is what needs to happen to the Lindex, stability. That's what we've seen the past few weeks. Jamie is just looking for some reason for instabilitiy so her buy orders get picked up. We'll see the same post next Monday night or Tuesday morning. Shall I post for her and get it over with.

Why don't you just give me 1/2 of your money now, let me kick your rump, and at the end of the day, you'll have more to show for it than if you held?

You're about to blow your carefully maintained cover with all this communist concern for other's welfare, comrade. If you were a real capitalist you claim to be, what happens to value of other people's money would be "not your problem"

The Linden strengthened after your ridiculous post screaming the value was getting crushed 336 to 1 and was going to get worse. Only was worse for ppl buying Lindens. It may break 330 to 1 soon, but you were still wrong last week.

Damn, reading through this forum it's quite, um, surprising how many of you are clueless. Jamie basically said that $L value will go WAY up today, so convert your $L yesterday into $US (sell high) and buy up much more really cheap $L with buy orders today when the $L devalues (buy low). Then when the much more $L that you got today goes back to $330 in value, you also make a bit on the increase of its value. IF this works (assuming the market does what it did last week) I'll have an extra $4,500L in my pocket. You guys are just running around complaining about someone scaring others into selling on a forum most people don't read.

Oh well, just means more money for ME!!!! And "THARE SHE BLOWS!" It's slow, but it's steady (the decline). As long as it manages to decline just $3L (checking.. now just $1 to $2 more L), before going back by this evening or tomorrow, this will work. Yay for stippend Tuesdays... as long as the rest of the days the market is stable

Of course, and what effect do you think a number of sell orders trying to beat the 'welfare rush' is going to have? it'll only add volume to sales and consequently increase the pressure, making the people who sell tomorrow/today drop their prices in attempt to sell before all these extra orders. Which i believe is what Jamie is after, rather than selfless advice to help you with your own earnings. From: someone You guys are just running around complaining about someone scaring others into selling on a forum most people don't read. A sensible argument but it doesn't stop Jamie from routinely re-posting her SELL SELL SELL wails, does it?

Exactly, which also makes the Buy Orders, which always run parallel to the Sell Orders, rise up, meaning you can undercut (not over, under) the buy orders today with the expectation of the rise in buy (along with the sell) to hit your order. It's the same thing I was doing two days ago, when I undercut the sell orders by quite a bit, with the expectation of the rise in $L value to eventually hit my sell orders, giving me a tiny bit more value. All it is is knowing market trends, guesing where they will go, and hope that your prediction pays off. There doesn't seem to be the same kind of explosion in $L devaluation as last week though, but I guess the day is still young.

From: Rasah Tigereye There doesn't seem to be the same kind of explosion in $L devaluation as last week though, but I guess the day is still young. Because last week was the aberration. If you watch the Lindex week after week, you just don't see a jump on Tuesday. At least not anymore than you do on Mondays or Wednesdays for that matter. Monday to Thursday the price tends to creep up, Friday through Sunday the prices creeps back down. I'm sure stipends affects the long term value of the Linden, but it doesn't have anywhere near the short term effect that Jamie seems to want everyone to believe. My speculation is that jump we saw last Tuesday was Lawrence catching up with currency trading tiers the day before. I'm guessing that several traders (maybe a couple dozen) who used up all their tier the week before and were caught with a lot of Lindens that they couldn't sell. When Lawrence finally caught up on Monday late afternoon, these traders started putting their money on the Lindex. At first they were likely being patient putting up small amounts because they knew if they dumped it all, it would cause the undercutting we saw the next day. But eventually the leap frogging started and these traders lost their patience. They put everything they could up to sell, wanting to sell before it got worse. This sent the sell orders up several points last Tuesday morning. It had little directly to do with stipends.

How many of these threads are you going to post?? Flaming, Spamming, Trolling – Flaming (posting a message that is intended to incite anger or directly attack a person or persons), Spamming (multiple posts of the same topic or discussion), and Trolling (a post with an intentionally contrary opinion written with the intent of inciting or getting argumentative opinions) are strongly discouraged. If you think your post might be over-reactive, or that it might fall into one of these definitions, please reconsider posting.
