I am not defending any of it - just commenting Coco's typical behavior of only calling out one side of it and ignoring the rest. You have hardly been a victim though - you constantly call people clueless, question their intelligence, etc. How is that having civil discussion?

Nothing in Jauani's comments, however, warrant your rudeness either.

Jauani expressed his opinion that it is about supply and demand, something I don't agree with but is his right to express. Just as you expressed your initial incendiary post calling those who trade in land as "profiteering" and alluding to Anshe. Your response was to tell him to STFU and get out of the thread. He has every right to express his opinion. From his perspective, as someone who sells land, your dismissal of it does not match reality. Big shock. If you can't stand any disagreement or dissent of your opinions, then try the forums for Disney's Toontown.

But maybe it isn't about me apologizing for bad behavior. Maybe it about you not noticing bad behavior when you see it, and maybe apologizing for the bad behavior of the others. Or are they your friends?

Or maybe it's just different viewpoints that could be the source of all our disputes, Cristiano. Maybe it's a matter of different viewpoints on manners, or something.

In any case, how you can consistantly tell me that I don't recognize bad behavior properly and yet you do, and then take me to task for it - I just don't get that.

This idea of hypocrisy comes to mind as one example. How can you write so many posts stating that I am a hypocrite, yet remain silent in a certain other thread concerning the views of a beloved friend of yours? Which, when pointed out as hypocritical to the extreme, received no answer from that person? You were silent on that one, weren't you. So add "staying silent" to the list of things you accuse me of, that you do.

See? Could be that we see things different ways. It doesn't have to be that you judge my judgments as faulty, and you are of course always right. And in my view, this pattern of behavior - where a bunch of people jump all over someone with nasty comments - happens REPEATEDLY on these forums.

I think just about any outsider taking a gander at this thread would decide (1) there must be something really wrong with the O.P., and I just don't know what it is, but the others do, or (2) judging from the responses to him, people in these forums really aren't very nice. I pick (2); how about you?

P.S. When all of you who act the way I criticized above are COMPLETELY FINISHED being nasty to and running off every new player, I hope you're happy. After all, being snotty is far more important than the lifespan of SL.

Look at Jauani's original post, and then Dogspot's response immediately following it. The person who was rude was DogSpot, not Jauani. That is what I'm talking about. Spare me the rest of the bullshit rhetoric about running off new players, and just look.

90% of SL doesnt even read forums. It is like same 50 people and thier alts posting over and over.

Land Barons do not provide any service, other than to themselves, that you couldn't (if they weren't around) easily do yourself.

They buy land and then sell it for a higher price, thus raising the price of land. That is not a benefit.

LL loves land barons and is making every effort to funnel all land sales to them.

I see that Jauani's post was sarcastic. As someone who sells land, his answer didn't surprise me, especially when land barons are being blamed for the price of land (not the laws of supply and demand). His post was hardly that insulting to warrant being told to STFU, being called clueless, etc.

I know you don't care what people say in reply, to you the end justifies the means. Your behavior has always matched that, so that doesn't surprise me, I just happen to think it is rather hypocritical. Personal attacks are fine in self defense, eh? Nice. Dogspot could have reacted a lot of ways - he could have answered Jauani's sarcasm without dropping down to such a level, but he didn't. Two wrongs certainly don't make a right, but you overlook one while chastising the other. Not "lying there and taking it" doesn't mean reacting in kind, except in your book apparently. He didn't even react in kind - he acted a lot worse.

Seeing the constant drama on these forums is like watching a child pick at a scab over and over, making it worse. Let's put a big ass Band-Aid on it and quit picking...
