From: Gabrielle Assia I've not been able to buy/sell from here at work, but was able to at home. Could there be some issue with that? Firewall? Proxy? etc? Aradon... perhaps something along those lines for you too? I just added a lot more error messaging to the buy transactions, please give it another try. I'll be updating the error handling for sell transactions after I have a quick bite to eat. Cheers, Lawrence

Cheers, Lawrence Thanks for the more info, I would check your 24 hour reset, it says I have gone over my limit, but it has been more then 24 hours since my last buy.

Lawrence, I am noticing sometimes (most of the time for me) it takes a really long time for the server to respond to a sell order confirmation. Really long means 60 seconds or more.

Really long means 60 seconds or more. I think that's becuase the code that tells the viewer to refesh your in-world L$ balance takes a long time to execute. I'll have a closer look into this tomorrow. Cheers, Lawrence

Thanks, Lawrence Thanks, but I still can't get the paypal feature to work, it always come back with an error, but this may be a paypal issue.

I've made a similar change for sell transactions, so if you were having problems listing L$ for sale, please give it another try and let me know what errors, if any, you're seeing. Cheers, Lawrence

From: Lawrence Linden *Lawrence dances a jig* What a curious response. In my experience, testing of e-commerce sites is typically done before going live. Interesting approach this is given the number of failures and "try again" statements posted in this thread. I've not seen a formal statement that all transaction errors will be rectified, is there one? Thanks.

I think given the unusual circumstance and that I think Lawrence worked all weekend (at least he seemed to be working all weekend) we need to cut some slack.

We've just raised the buy limit to US$250/day for accounts that are at least 45 days old.
Cheers, Lawrence

Here's the link. In short: Please specify check or Paypal. For check, specify who to make a check out to and where to mail it. For Paypal, specify what email address to use. Be sure to tell us how much US$ you're requesting and from which SL account you're requesting the US$. We'll send a confirmation email to the email address listed on your account. We're working on getting the Paypal side of things automated this week. Cheers, Lawrence

Looks nice, good work all who put time into it. One suggestion: it would be nice to be able to sort the Open Buy / Sell Orders by all three columns instead of just by Exchange Rate. Thanks also for clearly listing both the L$ to $ and the $ to L$ block exchange rates, although it raises the question, why keep referring to L$1000 blocks when that arbitrary value is no longer a minimum transaction amount? It might be a convenient transition for old GOM traders but there doesn't appear to be any significance to L$1000 blocks anymore. Maybe instead you could show something like: L$289 / $1.00 $0.0034 / L$1 It will be a more accurate and meaningful way to think of it in the long term and we won't have to hang on to a legacy that doesn't make sense anymore. I'd much prefer to think of the exchange rate in terms of "how much of $1 is L$1" than break amounts into L$1000 blocks when they don't have to be bought and sold in L$1000 blocks.

This sort of strikes me as odd. The currency we're interested in charting is the L$, but the charts all seem to be backwards. For example, as the L$ gets stronger against the US$, the charts show a downward graph. as the L$ gets weaker against the US$, the charts show an upward graph. The only charts that really look right are the trade volume charts. Does that seem odd to anyone else?
