From: ReserveBank Division So what.. There are 200,000+ people, the few who might leave won't be missed, because they'll be replaced with n00bs joining.
So don't let the door hit you on the way out. If it's paying people who are leaving, that's more of a loss than any number of non-paying people. Maybe the "n00bs" will be prepared to pay enough to cancel out the loss, but then again, if there was enough value for money to make it worth it, why did the original paying people leave?

Don't forget to account for the paying people versus renting people here. When someone decides to stop their premium payments, and decides to rent instead, someone else will end up increasing their tier payments, to support the influx of new renters. In the end the amount of money coming in is about the same if the same amound of people own land (whether paying or renting).

In the end the amount of money coming in is about the same if the same amound of people own land (whether paying or renting). That doesn't make sense!! You're right, if the same number of people own land, the money coming in will be the same. But, people who're renting don't own land - at least, not from LL's perspective. The land is owned by the landlord who rents it to them. The result is: 1 sim divided into 128 first land parcels each owned by a Premium paying yearly, yearly income for LL = US$72 * 128 = US$9216. 1 sim divided into 128 rental land parcels each rented out by a different user but all owned by one landlord, yearly income for LL = US$195 * 12 = US$2340. Assuming the landlord charges US$6 a month L$ equivalent in rent and thus recieves the same as LL would for Premiums in the sim, LindeX charges = 3% of US$9216 = US$276.48, total US$2616.48.
