WTF??? Again, context. All I've done is resell items I acquired at an auction/ yard sale, totally within the TOS. I'm promoting commerce, she's promoting guns, guns aren't my thing but do you here me complain as you people are complaining against me?? And here's another thing, who died and made you ppl the curators of SL ethics? The guns, drugs and porn argument goes back to the ethics issue as well: your saying that I'm bad for reselling items, something that your Marx manifesto's obviously don't allow, and yet you turn a blind eye to all the other stuff in SL, things that most normal people would find morally corrupt. But then again, youre not normal are you. Your problems are: you need to get a real life, not a second life.

Hey, I was the one under attack here, all for re-selling stuff I bought that allowed transfer ,remember. Sure, a bit over the top on the rebuttal, but I'm being negged all over the place and I cant even get in world at the moment, and yet NO ONE has yet actually shown me what items are free so I can remove them to cut the is crap out and get on with other things.

I was wrong on some of these people being communists, so I apologise, having done some research I note the harshest critics are actually in the selling business themselves, and as somebody else has pointed out to me, protection of self-interest involving trade where others a prosecuted to protect power is actually more representative of fascism as opposed to communism, which makes sense, Hitler killed the jews and some of you want to kill newbies, makes a lot of sense. Fetered inner core or Fascist inner core???

PS: all alleged "free items" have been removed after a request from the landlord. Unlike a lot of you she asked nicely. Perhaps manners aren't part of your ethics either?

It really is sad that all this trouble, aggression, unhappiness (and probably now lasting antagonism) arises just because we lack a "not for resale" permission.

I don't really want to put it up for vote myself. It would be hypocritical, as I am opposed to unsellable items circulating at all outside an extended version of a Linden supplied freebie pack, put into the hands of every newbie, maybe via the inventory, with competition for inclusion.

Is there some reason why those of you so strongly in favor of allowing creators this extra control don't want it to be done technically, but prefer to rely on social pressure, moral injunction, and newbie telepathy ?

I don't understand why you aren't clamoring for a permissions change instead of letting it all get so unfriendly here. And setting such items "no transfer" meanwhile.

Just got your IM message through my email, again, once somebody actually assisted in pointing out which items were in dispute (as opposed to just neg rating me), and once my lovely landlord asked me nicely to remove them I did.
