When will Linden labs perma ban the whiners?

when we look at it the only problem of this forum is the vocal minority that is whining about about anything in the forum, venting their frustration, the fact they had a bad day, that Linden Labs isn't polishing their boots, that their crap computer can't run SL anymore, than peoples are mean.

I think it looks pretty bad for potential investors and peoples venting/insulting/ranting about linden labs should get a formal warning and then be banned, how long can a company tolerate such lack of respect before showing you the door?

I dunno Kyrah..About as long as we put up with the crappy support, broken servers, griefers,forum trolls, "Ruths" and a general Marie Antoinette "Let them eat cake" attitude about the people that generally populate those broken servers that would tend to attract those potential investors. As for formal warnings and bans for not showing respect, well Respect is in general earned. Not demanded and enforced by a "LLC..Limited liability corporation" with an iron fist. And to demand respect from someone you view with what can only be called mild contempt..Well. Thats how revolutions start.

Probably around the same time it bans pompous ,holier than thou asses who whine about people whining.

Seriously, I highly doubt the potential investors are reading these forums. The LINDENS don't read them. The big guys are reading all those Ohh and Ahh articles that keep popping up all over the place and listening to the Sales pitches touting 5 million members, most of which don't want to spend 10 bucks for a membership let alone buy a Toyota. I wish they would read these pages........the so called whiners would give them a more accurate picture of Second Life, good and bad, than any bullshit sales pitch.

SL has its problems ...but i totaly agree with you , this forum has turned into a flood of idiot's who come here to vent about somthing that they knew what it was all about befor the used a credit card to sign up for an account.

SL HAS ALLWAYS BEEN UNSTABLE ...its the nature of the beast , But 70% of the people moaning about things that are wrong are trying to run a cutting edge simulator on a crap PC .

Investors i could not care less about.. to be honest i would rather thay stayed away ... but the amount of people here crying about problems they are having is just stupid .

If we are all having the same problem ( ie cant tp in world )THEN we should outcry about it .. But a single person saying " I can't get my knee lenth boot's to fix ... SL SUCK'S LL need to sort this out " ... go to PC world or wallmart ..and upgrade .

Wether you like it or not ... you all knew what you was getting into wene you signed up .

Wow! So I come in here, complain about something while asking for resident answers, something mind you, that I am NOT alone in experiencing, and -I- am an idiot? Anyone that complains about something that is wrong is an idiot? Is that what I am getting from your answer, Lostmedia?

Ok well let see. maybe if LLabs would answer people then they would have less people in here bitching. I been here a long time and Lag is always a issue and when i run a lag test it is on LL side not mine. I run a dedicated T1 with Cisco 6700 Router and still lag lag lag, Hell I have no textures now. And after running test after test after test for LLabs still no response in fixing anything. Bu tthat is right the original poster in here knows it all! But has been here less time then most. But hey that is right i run a crappy PC and maybe i should up grade.... Too a more powerful pc so LLabs mistakes will come in faster. Good Idea All.

And as far as investors are concerned they will come and they will see what kind of hell it is in here and leave.

LLabs is so great that they are not members of the BBB.

In my opinion ...and it is my own .... The OP has a valid point , I come here to look the forum and learn ... i may at times even chip in and try and help somone with a problem they might have ... But reading some of the stuff here that people are venting about makes me wonder why they are still here ?

I double the minimum requirements posted by LL, my cable download is 6 mps, I defrag my hard drive at least once every two weeks, my drivers are updated regularly..........is mine a crap computer?

Some of the people in SL really are having serious problems, it's not just a case of people arriving and complaining about the nature of SL. The lag, bugs and mistakes I can easily forgive. It's the way LL are going about things that bothers me so much.

We've just had a new update, many of the users are having issues with it, I have one friend who has made a massive investment into setting up and running a very popular sim who now can't access SL. She has a whole community of fans, friends and a shopping area filled with vendors that she has to deal with and she can't even get into SL. It's too high a price to pay for this new update IMO.

There are few things more ugly in this world than the haves gloating about the have nots. If SL is running well for you then enjoy it. But alot of people are having real problems right now and they're being beligerantly ignored by LL.

People have the right to complain about bad customer service.

Couldn't that equally apply to reading posts with people complaining in them? Just saying...

If people want to complain, let them. If they want to praise, let them. I would rather have both than see any one censored. Granted there are some people who will only ever moan but there are also others who blindly praise and stick up for LL. Let's leave them on the extremeties and the rest of us will be happy and balanced in our views.

Valid point and one that i will pay close attention to in the future

I am not sure how complaints on this forum would put people off signing up, you can't even access it until you are a verified member.

Most of the complaints are understandable, a lot of real money is lost continuously. If you have invested funds here, you need to be able to access the grid and be able to move around.

As for comments about other people's computers, not everyone can afford to run out and buy a new high end one each time SL has a major upgrade.

It's easier to stop reading complaints on a forum if you don't like them, than to make sure you have the right spec. It's also easier to get help and vent here than it is to get some support when a major problem does occur.
