I'd like to correct an error. On Anshe's forum in response to item CM-7: ( http://www.anshechung.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40 ) From: someone Truth: Anshe bought land in August next to land occupied by Oneironaut Escher. The land was occupied by a 50m high grey spiral. Thus, she did what other neighbours had done already: she raised land by about 8 meters to form a hillside and planted trees. She never asked Oneironaut to sell his land to her nor did she buy it later when he did put it for sale. As direct result of this Anshe was harassed in world and on the forums for days and weeks to come. Oneironaut did not have his land for sale. You never had the opportunity to buy it. I took possesion of it while this incident was going on and retain ownership to this day. In addition, the land was raised by more than 8 meters ... and the surrounding land was NOT already raised by that amount. Those are simply false statements. So Anshe, in the interest of honesty, please edit your forums to reflect the truth. Perhaps it was an oversight on your part or perhaps the incident was so long ago your memory is a bit fuzzy. Regardless of the case, I am certain you will want to correct it ASAP so as to not undermine your assertations of honesty. With Regards, Antagonistic Protagonist |

As this thread has shown more about Anshe that I could have hoped for, I have pulled the corresponding thread from my own forums (I moved it, it has not been deleted however). No one asked me to - I would prefer the positive contributions of my site not be tarnished by a protracted battle over Anshe's business practices. That is all well documented here.

A big component of libel is that the statements are factually untrue. Another component is the line between statements and opinions.

As far as the Linden position on speech within their own forums, from Jeska Linden:
"Per our Forum Guidelines, moderators of this forum do have the option of: "editing aggressively offensive personal attacks to remove those statements that violate the community standards (with an accompanying statement explaining the violation and reason for edit), please note language, such as "fraud, liar, cheater, griefer, troller, jerk, scam artist" etc is strongly discouraged, but will not be removed"
It should be noted that at no time has Anshe contacted me about any innacuracies on the site or to ask to have anything removed. If Linden Lab has a problem with the content, then I will remove it - Anshe's words in multiple threads more than speak for themselves. Even though I don't endorse the slant, for or against, I think this is a fair way of putting it. Since I'm not a party in this, I have nothing left to add.
