Rumors of Space Abductions in SL



I heard the funniest stories last night about an airship that was flying around abducting SLer's. You have to forgive me because I do not believe in this kind of mombo jombo but I thought I would relay the story.

Supposedly, a giant rusty "tub-boat'-looking airship is flying around slowly and hovering over unsuspecting people. Then, a giant blue beam shoots down and 'lifts' them into the ship (a tractor beam). It seems the spacemen are just picking up people for probing and then released them back to the wild unharmed. (Oh some people have such imaginations, they should write for those little newspapers in the grocery stores).

I ran across one woman in Welsh (I believe her name was Welina) that was just standing there looking to the sky in a daze. I asked her what she was doing and she told me this mixed jumbled story about some spaceship, a blue beam, and some testing probe. I asked her if she was ok and she said she was fine and mumbled something about being the most exhilarating experience and she was awaiting their return to take her away to their home.

Wow I think I might get a lawn chair tonight and watch the skies for the return of the 'airman'.

Not a rumor Roo, its true!! I was abducted last night!!

I was standing in Gray last night minding my own business trying to sort though some of my junk in my inventory, then outta no where, this blue beam with a startling sound, sucks me up into some giant spaceship. I was only abducted for a short period of time and no harm was done to me. (harm was done to the human behind the keyboard, it actually startled me. Was the funniest darn thing I had seen in awhile).

Roo, you seem to be making light of my experience! The lights, the sounds, the probe, who wouldnt be thrilled! I found the operator of the ship to be a very stange being though. For some reason he strikes a fear in me, for I fear these abductions will continue. This being seems to have made me his primary target, and I never know from when or where the next strange event will occur. Welina Jade (willing lab rat?)

I could have done without the repeated probing on my bday =P

I know that the abductors must be dying to do experiments on the most intelligent life forms of SL so please please come abduct me! You need to experiement on a hippo!!!!!

I have a strange experience to relate last night,

While working on my ship last night, I was visited by a strange airship fitting that description.
However, I was inside my ship at the time, and after hovering around for a bit, it left again.

I'm wondering if the beam couldn't penetrate the armor of my ship? or perhaps their tracking system couldn't lock onto me, being as the interior of my ship is a semi-sentient lifeform itself.

I think I may have confounded it.

It came back a second time after the Q4 Pod had been opened, and somehow interfered with the formation of the small landing pad. My ship was unable to form the landing pad until the strange airship departed.

I am not entirely sure why. This bears investigation.

I hear very strange noises coming from the other side of Welsh Lonely island. My fear is growing. Where to hide?

We need to start up the newspaper again, and write all this stuff down

That settles it: this could be a story for New World Notes! Guess I'll have to put on my X Files/National Enquirer hat on, and get to investigating! If you've seen the mysterious, probing airshop, e-mail or IM me. And if you've got screenshots of this mysterious phenomena, drop them into my inventory. In any event, I am ON THE CASE.

Aw crap! Now I gotta get to work on making kevlar, probe-proof drawers.

Heh, I need to go to Welsh now. I want to get abducted.

I have first hand experience as I was abducted just tonight from Welsh.

I was probed and thats saying little, my full acount with pictures of ship and alien and the aliens cohorts will be for sale for any journalist interested.

I have heard enough.. this is purly ludacris. There is no such thing as aliens or "Probings" as you have so delicately put it. I have been flying the skys of SL for weeks now and I can assure you there are NO aliens.

A few of you just have over active imaginations. And those screen shots... they are obiviously fake. I have seen better photoshop work on Britny Spears. I cant stand the people that belive what they read in the enquirer.

... Probings ... realy come on people. You make it sound as if anything can happen in SL PFFFffff yeah right!

I assure you that Darwin and I were abducted and the beam of blue brilliance lifted us onto the aliens craft, we also hear this evil laugh over and over.
