This question has been bugging me for quite awhile.A long time ago,i was talking to someone in IM,and somehow,someone else who she knew was reading our whole conversation.
I know for a fact this person doesn't live with her in real life,and she doesn't copy and paste the messages to him,I know for a fact he was not a linden.
How is he reading her messages without her copying and pasting or living with her in real life looking over her shoulder???

If they were offline at the time, the "forward offline IMs to email" function could be used. Then on the mail client, a rule could easily be installed to forward all messages to a separate address.

If you send a message to someone who is not online, the message goes to their email account and somone could read your messages via IM.

Did the other person initiate this conversation? Maybe they were using group IM.

There's also the possibility that they were on another IM client like AOL IM or Yahoo at the same time they were in SL. Copy and paste.

I've seen some kind of error on SL where the IM text shows up on the person's face. Was his AV looking at her AV at the time?

I need a scorecard. |

well theres only a few possibilities if its IM - right?
One- he had to be in the same room as her to read it - youve said no that cant be Two- she would have had to copy and paste it and send it to him - youve said that cant be. Three- She logged the conversation for her own use and he somehow got access to it. Four- some sort of Hack lets him spy on her. If it were a Local convo not an IM - he could have used a scripted "bug" - I know people who have been bugged before. |

it was IM i am thinking #4 You can't hack IM, in world anyway.. It'd have to be a program on her PC that logs her keystokes and sends them to him.. _____________________
