Even so, it's your right to build one there - and the right of everyone in Jessie to take shots at it and you.
1. Better not go there? Why?
2. All art is parasitic in nature? That's a pretty big assertion to just toss out there without any discourse. WHY is all art essentially parasitic? How does it damage its "host" - which I assume is the culture in which it resides? What argument can you make that art doesn't contribute back to the host, there by making it a symbiotic relationship instead? Love to hear the precepts behing your assertion.
A very strong argument could be made that the ONLY thing one can do in SL is create art. First, you create an image that you use to represent yourself. Then, you go about making three dimensional, functioning images that form the "world" in which that picture exists. You don't make guns, you make pictures of guns. You then write scripts that make that picture shoot at pictures of other things.
There are no THINGS in SL, only pictures of things. Sure, the pictures can impact the other pictures of things that surround them - but they're still just pictures. Therefore, everything in SL is essentially a work of art.
So, in the context of SL, art is not only relevant, it's a prerequisite for existance.

lol,now you know what i had to deal with 3 months of construction of my own gallery,it was vandalised 3 times and i personally made around 100 kills atleast defending it. thats not including the kills my group members gained aswell. i never complained though because that is exactly what we were there for,we enjoyed it. we even set up a jessie alert system that could be set off to let everyone know we were under attack. the point is jessie is a combat sim,you will be under attack, and althoguh it can get excessive there is nothing you can do but return fire. my suggestion to you is practice with your weapons so that you are more prepared for the next round, maybe look around for some good defense systems you could buy. i know that if i need to i have a back up defense i can deploy to help turn the tide be creative is all, maybe design your building with defense in mind. anyways, goodluck with the gallery and keep your guns loaded and ready

From: someone i have heard a rumor that an outlands sandbox will be built soon btw i think thats a GREAT idea,BUT,we still need another sim. to me the IDEAL setup would be 2 damage enabled sims seperated by a sandbox damage sim inbetween. perhaps we can even get the sandbox sim to have some default linden objects such as trenches and sandbag walls and stuff to make it look like a warzone.
