Land taken right out from under me!

I just remembered the guy who I bought Lions land from.

He is Shadow Withnail owner of a new big club, The Bellagio, just south of Awa. He also hides out online using another account, DaRealNeo Crossing.

Thanks a lot Shadow for not only ripping me off for $80,000 lindens but for ruining my reputation!

Ken, from what I read it was the person who bought the land for 0 dollars that everyone was pissed at. We figured he sold it to someone else. You didn't do anything wrong. It's the thief that we want banned, not you. You sound like a pretty cool guy.

i posted the location of the land after ken owned it and had it set for sale to lion. i never posted the fact that ken had bought the land from the original thief because i didn't glean that fact from lion's postings.

ken, you acted honourably and handled the situation as well as anybody could expect. ll should refund your 40kL and should deduct the full 80kL from the theif's account if they haven't done so already.

i apologize for pointing out land that had your name on under the implication that you had stolen it from lion.

I already refunded Lion twice the amount he paid for the extra 512 parcel. I am a man of my word.

I'm sorry you got caught up in this, but from what I've read it's the original buyer (scammer) that people feel should be strung up, not you. I hope that the Lindens reward you for your honesty and integrity with a refund of your Lindens. (Ideally, they would snatch them from the scammers account, but that's probably asking too much.)

Thank you for your kind reply Jonquille. I dont know if they deducted anything from Shadow Withnail (aka DaRealNeo Crossing) account. To date, I still have had NO contact with the Lindens or Shadow or DaRealNeo about this incident. I heard they froze his account for a while. Big deal huh?

I repaid you the 5120, you just paid me for the 512 meters. Let me try to explain and clear as much of this mess as I can. As my last post, I said I would take the 512M as a loss and a learning experience. Why? Because after I bought back the property from you, and the Lindens refunded my 40K. You and I met ingame. As per our discussion, we became friends. I knew then that you were just a third party. Why didn't I tell you about the 512 meters? Because, you were already out 40K from this ordeal. Why should I have YOU to give up another 512M? It wasn't your place to try to correct it all! You mentioned that you were selling all your land, so I asked you if I could buy 600M off you, which would have maxed out my tier. The 512 I had lost was in even in consideration because I felt between you and I we were already at a loss, so wiping the slate clean between us, the land sale was just a transaction between us. Actually, how I think it should have went. The Lindens should have reversed it all, somehow. Give me back my 8608M, you back your 80K, and bumped the other guy off the world! I also remember telling you when we met, you needed to check on the 40K you lost. The last I was informed, the whole thing was under investigation. I just figured it was now between the Lindens and the original person that took the land. After you and I met, which was just after my final (or thought final) posting here. I never returned to this forum to post anymore or checked it. I guess I should have. I only posted it here, because it was suggested that it was the only way to get somekind of response out of LL. I had sent in an email to Customer Support the day of the incident, 5 days went by with no reply, so it was suggested that I try this.

TO ALL THAT READ THIS!!!! KEN HADLEE WAS AN INNOCENT 3RD PARTY!!!

NOW! Please!!! Don't let this guy also ruin a new friendship that you and I had just started!
You and I are fine as far as what occured, I don't want your money, cause it was a fair land sale!

Thank you for the kind words Lion! We have a new friendship after going through an awful experience. I hope no one has to ever go through what we have had to endure.

A word to the wise. Avoid any business deals with Shadow Withnail (aka DaRealNeo Crossing) I have not told him what I think about this experience. I must turn the other cheek.

Thanks for your kind comments Chase. It seems the Lindens aren't interested in my plight. Funny since I just bought a Private Island Sim from them. I guess you have to lose a lot more in order to get their attention! (Or be a crook!)

Something very like this happened to me a while back. I logged in to an IM from an individual that they had discovered my land public, so out of the goodness of their heart they bought it, and I could have it back for a mere $10000L. I am absolutely certain that I didn't release that land, too. In any case, one of the Lindens took the land back from the individual, gave them a good talking to and passed it back to me.
