In recent days, weeks, months, years
 I have noticed that certain individuals seem to think that this is their own personal forum to post what ever they feel like posting. Keeping in mind that it is called the "General" thread and the discription of the "General" thread is as follows: General Discuss your ideas, and observations about Second Life -------------------------------------- Do you think we should give these handful of folks their own "Soap Box/Air my personal business publicly" forums? yes or no. _____________________

You mean like attacking Bedazzled? Avalon? Or Shadow? Or the people who "ruined your christmas"? Or any of the multitude of people and groups you've attacked here on the forums? I think someone needs a forum of their own - as a matter of fact - they said they were going to do just that, yet they are still here whining up a storm about threads and posts nobody makes them read. If you don't like what someone has to say - don't read it. Works great for me with dealing with blaze - now I don't feel like driving my skull through my monitor anymore. _____________________

I voted yes because I think it would be a great idea (in theory).
Unfortunately I'm not optimistic about how doable it is. They can't exactly give EVERY user their own forum section, so they would have to select certain individuals. People who are disruptive or engage in endless rants are the most likely candidates and giving them their own section feels like rewarding bad behavior. Also, it seems unlikely that our soapbox users would be willing to stick to their forums, that would defeat to purpose of all their efforts! But this thinking may be on the right track. I would love to see ideas for a forum system that both allows everybody to have their free speech AND allows us to finish out threads without fear of harassment or derailing. _____________________

There are already group forums. General is for General. And so we already have an area where *anyone* can talk about *anything* that is SL related. And I don't know how to take the "buddy" remark you stated to me. So I will choose to take it in a good way not bad. _____________________

After being in SL since 03 I find it more than a little ironic that none of these ppl have come and talked to me personally in world about our differences. Yet they bring them up over and over again on the General forum. Like today for example. Now I can't help but wonder if those types of posts today are meant to "Incite anger" which is against the posting rules.
Things that make you go hmmm. Not kidding me, nope nope nope. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think this group should stick to the "Off-Topic" forum since their posts seem to be personal conversations, pictures of pie and a whole lot of non sense. BUT if they can't or won't do that perhaps they can start their own "group" forum as Willow has. Seems logical to me. I would much prefer the forums are a postive place to post cus all this negativity is getting really old and IMO does not reflect what SL is really about. I have been spending most of my time IW as the forums have become nothing more than drama fest 05 or just non sense, lately. Cat _____________________
