Doesn't anyone have a problem with the political pandering for Hillary? I'm sorry, but an intelligent person carefully weighs all options first, and is alert to developing factors that may change their decision. We don't just say, "Doi, I vote fer Hillary cuz she's smart..."

picture in your head, the average American (to pick on my own country)... what he or she looks like, sounds like... what he wears, how he thinks (or doesn't)... and realize... that 50% of the country is dumber than that person. 50% of the country is dumber than the mean, not the average. To illustrate the difference, imagine a room containing the cast of any given season of The Real World, plus Geena Davis. If you remove Geena Davis, the average intellegence (sum of the individual IQs divided by the number of people) will plummet. On the other hand, the mean intellegence (the number in the middle of the range) will barely shift (from, say, cabbage to rutabega). Statistics: learn 'em, love 'em, spin 'em. |
