From: ABC News In fact, in what Rosedale says is like "leaving Eden," when one of "Teen Second Life"'s inhabitants reaches 18, there's a graduation ceremony that sends them off to the mainland. Since this is the first I heard about this and I can't exactly go over there and such, can some tell me if this ceremony is called Carousel? Do the Teen residents have life clocks in their hands?

From: Aimee Weber All I got was a stinky reality show where I chain two guys to the pipework of an decrepit industrial bathroom with nothing but a dead body and a hack saw that is too weak to cut the chain but strong enough to cut through bone. Hilarity ensues. Instead of Saw, it's called *SEEN*?

From: Cristiano Midnight Not in favoritism per se, but SL is large and diverse enough by now that certainly the marketing site can move beyond showing the same people time and time again. There are many, many people creating compelling content, building great businesses, and doing interesting things in SL. It does seem a bit laxof Linden Lab by to not at least make some effort here. This was exactly the point I was trying to make. Thank you for clarifying this Cris. The posts as mine unfortunately are interpreted as attacks to famous people like Aimee. I stressed on the fact that I have utmost regard for Aimee and her talents, for that matter any one at her caliber, who has contributed greatly to SL. She is famous in SL and deserves that rightly so. It is great to have people like her contributing to this virtual world. However, Lindens have to learn to be neutral and don't give the impression of favoritism. That is how governments in real world turn corrupt and in the end everyone is hurt.

Personally, I think it is more dishonest to try and pretend there is no such thing as favoritism.

Cris and Snowcrash - has it been established that LL had anything to do with who ABC chose to highlight? I must ask this, because, if not, this entire notion is predicated upon an assumption. I agree with Chip and others that LL probably had nothing to do with it. They are probably quite aware by now that any such activity involving publicity outside SL would be met with immediate scrutiny and loud claims of bias and favoritism.

From: Newfie Pendragon This is probably the first and only time I've agreed wholeheartedly with JSecure. There are some people that climb the ladder, some that are pulled up the ladder, and then some down on the ground level building their own danged ladder.
- Newfie I will cross finding a common ground between myself and Newfie off my list of things to do before I die

The Lindens have a list of 'usual suspects' that they use for these occassions. Who is actually used is up to whoever is doing the reporting. LL is currently trying to expand and change up the list so that it's not the same people every time.
