I smell a setup Go to the head of the class. Considering the direction G4 has taken over the last year, this will most likely be a story which makes fun of SL. G4 had Portal, which at times used SL for skits. I'm sure they have been watching the forums, and are aware of all the hot button issues discussed over the last few months. The forum community has given them ammunition, and they will use it. _____________________

Ummm...excuse me but this doesn't look like positive press to me... Fightmaster John Nolt from Songfight.org (a weekly online song competition) comes by to discuss the best online songs and demos a few. Senior Producer Jonathan Zamkoff gives us a tour of Ultimate Spider-Man. Then we create the ugliest building ever in Second Life and try to get the neighbors to complain. And we go behind the scenes of the new sci-fi film Serenity, based on director Joss Whedon's TV show Firefly. Plus, we've got some hot deals with Frugality, and we select our favorites from last week's User Created challenge. Please tell me this is a joke. Penny Arcade - G4 TV Do you really expect more than 5 seconds and (maybe) some mildly positive commentary? Anyway, from the legwork of others, it seems to be a setup, with SL as the punchline. I wouldn't build a goddamn thing for these bastards. _____________________

Better yet, find out where their plot is, and have the neighbors put up ugly "SECOND LIFE LOVES YOUR BUILDING" signs all along the border, thus ruining their "joke". Honestly I didn't expect much from G4... they're the tech news channel for people who beat up nerds in high school, and run by people who still put the phrase "video games" in quotation marks. That idea is brilliant though, about transforming. You could have one that transforms into something non-threatening, like, "Marry me Sarah!", and have a backup one that says, "G4 SUCKS!" just in case the segment goes really sour. It is live, afterall. I doubt they're trying to make SL look bad, though. They've talked about it before on the show. I think they're just trying to do something funny. |

They've had WoW (or some other MMORPG) parties where they try to get as many people as possible to show up, and they kept cutting back to it. So I was thinking this might be like that, where they show the build live. I guess we'll see. |

Sounds like the Giant Cube, a grand homage to the mighty prim which came to an unfortunate end before your time.
