I dunno if I'm good per say. I'm kinda opinionated, and independant. That seems to scare most guys off. I also have a couple policies about SL relationships some people consider odd. I don't want anything to drip over into RL, and I won't just randomly bump pixels with anyone, I won't hop into bed with anyone I just met RL why do it in SL?

Just a question, blaze: how on earth can you tell the difference?

I am a woman in rl, but I do not fit the 'stereotypical' female gender role: I can use a Skil Saw, I like baseball (well, live games--not televised), I place great store in my professional life, I hate shopping. Do these qualities make me any less womanly or female?

Interestingly, in SL, female AVies are often hyper-feminine. They, often but not always, reflect an extreme version of what western culture aesthetically asks/demands of women. Could it be that you experience a "jarring" when your expectations (ie "She is a seeexxxy Avie.";) do not match your experiences ("Wow, she is really forward and outspoken";)?
I would not label such mismatching of expectations as "chauvinist" per se; rather I would claim such thwarting of expectation and the frustration that results is "human."

Are there good women in SL? No doubt. Are they what you might expect? It is unlikely.

Well, I have always found Lucifer in Milton's "Paradise Lost" to be the most interesting character. He is twisted, burned, brooding, and strapped to a lake of fire with adamantine chains. . .

Wait. . .you don't mean * that* kind of fallen angel? :)

Oh, :) shopping reeks. :)

Who really cares? SL should be more about the mind then the physical. People have to many physical hang-ups.

I am a guy in RL and SL and I have the same problems. I hate sports. I like to sew. On the other hand I can use almost any tool out there. I like to fight. And I love sex. Oh and I like to go shopping. In the US we have to much of this “Females do this Males do this” I don’t know about the rest of the world.

This is fantastic, Lupo! Good for you. I believe that it takes great courage to be an individual--both in RL and in SL. There is a great, sometimes unspoken, admiration and appreciation for individuals/iconoclasts in SL. It is my sincere hope that this does not change; rather that this appreciation/admiration has the power to make change outside of SL.

Trust me that is way overrated. I find "good" and "bad" women in both sub and nonsub lifestyles in almost equal numbers.

I know of one good woman in SL...but um...she came with me collar and all from another game....and RL.

Wedding rings are NOT collars, how many times do we have to chant that?!

LOL *shows his hand with no ring* Hard to marry someone who is still long distance. Even then she will still wear both. She just gets to nag at me more often with the ring. :p

Edit: Raudf I do hope you are joking. I took you rocmment in jest but if it was serious then pardon the sarcasim in my statement. If you wish to speak more about how they are similiar and dissimilar I'd be happy to speak to you on such but do not see a need to drag it out in the forums.
