I have gathered about one month of orbital data for the rising and setting of the SL sun and moon. Anyone interested in checking it out should be able to find it at Link

Hopefully by later today ill add my last month of wind data i have gathered from a nine sensored array. stay tuned :).

***EDIT***
Added the 9 wind readouts.
All time are recorded at 00:00:00 Pacific Standard Time.
All speeds are recorded in meters per second.
Testing ran from 2005-02-07 thru 2005-03-05.
And no my wind script is not broken.... its just very weird that the directions are all easternly at that time. Maybe there is sumthin to it *rubs chin*

Apparently recent studies have confirmed my worst fears. Grid Warming! What Jill said is completely FALSE. Those greedy oil barons would have u believe those numbers. In reality (sl for those keeping score at home), it's a lot closer to 22 Degrees Celsius and partly sunny! The end is near!

LMAO OOOOh how this reminds me of someone IRL who (isn't joking) ... I say we use biodiesel/cooking grease to power scripts from now on! Hallelujah!

Bah. The insane rantings of tree-hugging (that's both Linden tree and user made) virtualnaturalists! Everyone knows that SL oil burns less than half as cleanly as it's FL counterpart!

72 degrees and partly cloudy - all the time. Everywhere. :p

See i knew i should have just sent the stuff to you first. But u will prbly end up twisting the data to make it look like everything is fine and the hole in the ozone isnt even real! Be careful Jill, u wouldnt want me to expose the pics of u pouring barrels of oil and other toxic chemicals into linden wilderness would u! :p

ezhar fairlight had a graphical model of the sun and moon orbiting the grid.

If I recall correctly, there are "seasons" in SL, but they are very slight; the sun has slight deviations in its path across the sky from "day" to "day" (about 4 hours daylight, 2 hours moonlight).

Hey, those downstream said it made the water taste better. Well, to me "Wow, this water tastes like purple" means it tasted better, at any rate. :D

I've never seen Ezhar's data, but mine suggests there are no seasons in SL. At high noon the sun is approximately 62.5 degrees from the horizon.

That's a bit mean :( . The script I use does it automatically so it isnt too big a waste of time (least for me).

This data is purely speculative as all I have to do is hit Alt+m while in mouse look and I have screwed it up for everybody..hehe.

nice.

Okay after that little jab at people for absolutely no reason... I take alot of snapshots and I noticed the SL sky changes alot from one day to the next. Some days theres more haze it seems, sometimes the sky is bluer than others... It's all pretty neat.

edit: I've attached a picture of the backyard of my place in Boardman.. the sky is the bluest I've ever seen out of the hundreds of pictures I have.
