For the record, I should say that I am not at all dialed in to LL's financial well-being - I just can't imagine Philip raising prices on us unless it was needed. Or he has a really sick, twisted sense of humor. Hmmmm. ;)


I reckon they raised prices on islands as they'd killed the mainland. Why set up a project on the mainland when for less money you could have your own private island with a better feature set?

Why live on the mainland when you can rent on a private island, always close to a telehub and with low lag?

With complete control over entry, land textures, terraforming, not to mention complete and utter privacy anytime you want it.

If you purchase an island based on what I have said please tell a Linden so I get my commission check this month. :) ty.
