Why don't we all ignore our dear friend.... ..and then get lambasted en masse for shunning a shining member of the community and have that used as evidence of how we're all conspiritorial and have it in for her. Oh wait, that was tried already. Never mind. You lose by replying, you lose by not replying. And it wouldn't be so much of an issue if she wasn't hell bent on graphomanically owning the forums. We've got a lying, spamming, paranoid, self-aggrandizing troll in our midst. Sure, let's rise above it. As to your pleas of not bumping her ego, what have this thread and your on-going replies wrought? |

This is what I am getting from Bob and his supporters. Let Prok do whatever Prok wants, but if we do the same, we are wrong. Does this mean Prok is SL's Sacred Cow? As someone who is on Prok's list, I chose to withdraw from any forum thread that involved Prok, even when it was something I was interested in. This took a great deal of effort and took away some of the joy of posting on the forum. From the sidelines though, I have cheered all the ones who have stood up to Prok. So I say to Bob, how is it right to censor all but one? Wouldn't it be better to apply your theory to all including Prok? And by not including all in your suggestion aren't you making one an elitist and the rest of us umm a lower class of forum posters? And at the same time, isn't that a little condescending to Prok? Just the thought that came to my head while reading the posts in this thread. _____________________

On a similar note *pa dum bum tschhh* The Rolling Stones have announced another tour this year ! Last year or so we had the 'Steel Wheelchair' Tour and this year's is rumoured to be the 'Sympathy for the Deaf Guy' tour.

Exactly Cienna. One of many examples that spring to mind right now was the bear project that was all the rage for the last two weeks. *I* made the bears on my own, I set them to be fully mod/copy/transfer, and Stoneself and I made every effort to ensure everybody/anybody got one and could display it. Aimee, do you think I'm stupid or something? Go back and read my post. I don't *care* what your bear is/was/became. LF asked for the template. Where did it come from? Did you make a brand-new bear template that was NOT Nicole's template? And if you did, so what? The fact is, Nicole gave her template to others, and even made them some bears. Devlin Gallant sent me a bear. Here's the picture of it in edit-mode. It says "Devlin Gallant" as the name of the object -- that may not be so visible in the screenshot but Devlin can vouch for this. As you can clearly see, it says "Creator: Nicole Linden" and it is on "no mod/no transfer" There's the proof of the Linden-FIC bear link. That's all. Go on spouting whatever you need to spout, this bear with Nicole as creator, now a Devlin bear, was all I needed to make the point. _____________________

Ahhhhh.... Prokofy.
You have to give it to him - rarely do we see a person that polarizes popular opinion in such a way. Prokofy has much to say, some of it good, all of it challenging. My issues is, has, and will be Prokofy's nasty remarks about other players. One must give a small 'kudos' to Prokofy because, for the most part, his snide remarks are directed toward a group and not an individual and as such he can be as potty-mouthed as he wants when speaking of them, becuase they are not directed at a particular individual. Oddly and ironically, we add ourselves to, and identify with, those groups and in turn make it a personal attack. However, because it was not directed as a particular individual, Prokofy dodges the bullet. He's very good at dodging bullets as we've seen. For that, Bravo man! Bravo! Speaking for myself, I don't have an issue with *Prokofy* the person, but I take a solid stand against his college-literati-bullshit and the veiled attacks on groups of residents. I don't appreciate it and I push back. He knows this isn't personal, as he claims his comments aren't personal either. I think we have an understanding. So long as he produces the usual 'stuff' on here, I'll be pushing back when I see an error/lie/misquote or a mean/harsh/snarky comment. I think it's beginning to be a love/hate thing.  _____________________
