Actually Bob, Zoey, Kris and Devlin haven't said one insulting, irrational word about me ever. So, by my logic, it would make absolutely no sense for me to get on their backs.

Exactly Cienna. One of many examples that spring to mind right now was the bear project that was all the rage for the last two weeks. *I* made the bears on my own, I set them to be fully mod/copy/transfer, and Stoneself and I made every effort to ensure everybody/anybody got one and could display it.

Prokofy, however, claimed the bears came from the Lindens and were given to a select few of the FIC based on favoritism. Even when corrected, Prok continued to repeat this claim in other posts. What a terrible thing for a new user to read when they first come into the forums.

So ya. I don't think we should stoop to the same level of namecalling as Prok does, but we should stay vigilant and be sure to correct Prok's posts where/whenever necessary.

So, you only plan on attacking those that have attacked you? Of course, that's very big of you. My point exactly.

Thank you Aimee! This is exactly what I would want everyone to do. You don't trust Prokofy? GREAT, watch him close and diligently correct him when he's wrong. Calling him names, feeding his ego, and giving him more reason to keep going does nothing to stop the real issue; being civil

I would love nothing more than to stop having to refute the constant barrage of lies and misrepresentations originating from this person. There's never any hope of changing P's mind, but it's important to point out a lie, especially when the intent is to damage the reputations of a great many people in the game. After months of constant repetition, how many new players have actually begun to believe his malicious posts?

I personally have been attacked on more than one occasion. When someone posts libellous statements, they should be called on it, not ignored and treated with kid gloves. Lies are lies and should be treated as such.

In my opinion, his posts will not stop. His sole reason for posting his angry rants is to cause as much damage as possible, and sit back to enjoy the sight of turning one group against another while portraying himself as a champion of the underclass. It's his entertainment.

Also Bob, you seem to be mixing up "defending oneself" with attacking. i invite you to read my posts before assuming I'm an ass, which you seem to have already, only because I refuse to be walked all over.

A telling moment for me was in a thread where he was criticized for not fleshing out his postion enough and downgraded for it. ?!?!? As many times as he's been told to shorten it up and called long winded? It sure seemed like the point was to find something to criticize at all cost.

the problem is the sheer number of people she attacks at one time.

she make such broad insulting comments that it seems to cover 99.9999% of sl's population. and even if .1% people respond... it's a big response.

and then when someone new response she turns around attacks the new responder.
and then it goes down the spiral of attack and defense.

so now some people are cutting her off at the knees before she gets a head of steam.

No, I just mutter that under my breath as I compose more meaningful forum posts.

I have no care if you want to silence Prokofy right out, but I'm certain the intelligence level of SL Players is such that they can find a better way to do that then lowering themselves to calling Prokofy names; and if you can't, you probably shouldn't be in the arguement in the first place.

However, I do, and will continue to point out the one-sidedness and the inconsistency from some of Prokofy's defenders.

actually most of the responses have moved from mere namecalling to very erudite namecalling.

but seriously, you're making these comments on the tail-end of a cycle. most of the current comments aren't namecalling. but the volume or response is so large that the namecalling stands out.

i think the big wave of namecalling was like a dam bursting... the forum members restrained themselves for a very long time, and then they couldn't take it anymore. i think the dam is emptying now.

PS - After reviewing the post in Question, Nolan is correct, I inadvertently attacked Prokofy by calling him a "Raving Lunatic". I took the word from the "mentality" word of Huro's post and shouldn't had. I apologize for my actions, and ask that you see your way to forgive my oversight.

For the moment, Prokofy seems to have lost interest in following me across the forums, deliberately distorting my comments, mischaracterizing my opinions and my personality, and calling me names. *shrugs. So I have no problem refraining from defending myself.

Which is pretty much what it boils down to for most people who have encountered him or her.
