Is there any such men out there?

Just wondering if there are any single, honest, warm, caring, fun, intelligent, non-cheating, don't use, realise that there is a real person on the other end of the avie, type men at all in SL? Or is this just asking too much?

I asked a friend something like that in RL several years ago.
My friend answered "If you need ask, I wonder if you would have the capacity to notice them."
It was a revelation.

I know a girl who plays a character just like that.

I am more than capable of noticing them, but after having been lied to, cheated on, used and finding most my girlfriends have similar experiences, one does wonder.

I've been looking all over the world for a man like that, and at 30 I still wonder if they exist. It's doubtful. Get rid of "single" and you might see one lurking around one day. Any worth having are already happily taken. Or you could narrow your requirements down to just single and help yourself to my ex.

True, but these characteristics don't have a thing to do with compatability. Either someone IS these things, or they are not. I definately get what you're saying, Madame, but it makes me want to point something out. Many men I run across, especially most recently, think the way you treat someone should be directly proportionate to how happy you are with them. Well, it's my opinion that a truelly good hearted person would treat have these characteristics regardless of how compatible you are..... ie. just because the love is fading doesn't mean it's okay to turn into an asshole to me, lie to me, cheat on me, and worst of all, use me. It's possible to remain respectable throughout the relationship, even on the way out. It's very rare to find simple honesty from beginning to end.

Know what you mean though, I have some wonderful male friends, but they are very taken, and I am one that is happy to leave them that way.

Absolutely! I see so much sadness just seeping out of people -- all these men who seem to think that love should be handed on a platter to them. All these lies and all the flowers and all the disrespect some men seem to have for women. I was in a car once with a guy (not my date) who said, "Lie to the girls, but don't lie to your friends."

It's an awful way to live your life. No wonder these men end up lonely.

I read this article about "Why Men Cheat." It was the stupidest article I ever read. All these men gave these reasons -- Love isn't there, she doesn't want to have sex as much, she has too much low self-esteem, she doesn't do it for me anymore, she got boring, blah blah blah.

Love is a two-way street, as the saying goes, and if you're not feeling the same thing you used to, it's up to you, dammit, to say something about it. Yeah, maybe girls want to talk about -- feelings, and stuff -- but guess what, it's what's keeping your relationship together.

It has been my observed experience that women will gravitate towards the self-serving assholes 90% of the time. The ones that don't are happily taken and married within seconds by the first nice guy that realizes what's going on.

And many props to Vestalia's words of wisdom. It should be a bumper sticker, or a shirt, or some other form of folksy doohickey.

I think if you haven't found a partner that pleases you fully*, you should examine yourself honestly, and ask the following questions to arrive at the true issue:

1) Why do I accept behavior that bothers or hurts me?
2) Why do I continue to be involved with people who lie to me?
3) Why do I expect others to 'make me' happy?
4) Why do I continue to be involved with someone who hides things from me?
5) Why am I looking for a relationship in a virtual world, when I could spend the same effort and have a better one in the real world?
