Denial? Some of them, undoubtedly. Mostly it's just a misuse of the term combined with a misunderstanding of what the common atheist position acually is (it's exactly the same as what most sefl-proclaimed agnostics believe). If you're unclear on any of it, go back and reread the old threads. If you're just being a dick, carry on.

The bible(and all it's variations) is the only thing that talks about god, it is the source of god. Purporting god to be true is to uphold what the bible says. And you repeatedly do that.

So practice what you preach (that you don't preach), and stop preaching to us, k? (because you are and said you wouldn't)

But neither you nor anyone else will tell me what I can talk about. I'll preach if I want, though I wasn't preaching. And your complaining won't change that. If I want to talk about God, the Bible or anything else, be assured, I will, regardless of what you say.

If you think talking about God is talking about the Bible, there is nothing I can do to help you understand the difference between God and the Bible.

I said I wasn't trying to prove the Bible and that's a fact. If I quote the Bible it's to point out what the Bible says because that is what is being discussed.

Look, I won't tell you what to talk about and you don't tell me, ok? Either way, don't expect me to do as you say, it ainta gonna happen.

btw, many books have God as a theme. Ever read the Koran?

You'll notice I never suggested what you should do with the Bibles in hotel rooms.

I snip out newspaper stories of priests being convicted of child molestation and leave them between the pages.

Why would I care? I'm not Catholic.

The Koran has many of the same original sources as the bible. It is just composed by different people and thus uses different material in some cases, slants others, and also uses additional material (much like the bible makes use of the new testament in addition to the old). And indeed if you don't use the bible you probably do use one of these related sources which all have essentially the same message.

Now I wasn't telling YOU what you can and cannot say, I was merely telling you what you SAID you would and would not do.

Secondly, I didn't ever say I wouldn't talk about the Bible. I said I didn't try to prove the Bible. Discussing the possibilities of a creator is NOT talking about the Bible or trying to prove it right.

In the future, should the occasion arise, I will prove the Bible if that is what is being discussed. If that bothers you, feel free to add me to your ignore list. I will talk about it any way it happens to fit a current discussion.
