And the President's job is?

And the President's job is? From the oath of inauguration: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Remember, the US is *not* a true democracy. It's a representational republic. The president isn't elected by the people, and so therefore does not "work for" them (us). -S |

seems like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel to keep the ranks up in this stupid war. Not just this war my friend. Every war. All wars are barbaric. The very nature of war is horrific and it takes certain individuals with a certain mindset to carry out what is necessary. Dark humour has always been a coping mechanism for those in the military however inappropriate it may seem to those on the "outside". It's obvious that this video was never meant to see the light of day. I'm not saying that it's right. It's just the way it is. |

Our President is an excellent example of why Representational Republics are meant to be temporary governments that lead up to a true democracy. _____________________

true democracy? where the entire population votes on everything? yeah how about getting a clue? You're making it seem like disorganized chaos. It's not as if things would be without committee. But it's time that steps were taken more toward a true egalitarian, democratic society. The Electoral College has got to go. _____________________

It's black humor, same as we had in the first Gulf war. I looked up how to write 'Have a nice day" in arabic, and put that on the nose of hellfire missiles along with a smiley face that would soon be fired towards Iraqi Republican Guard tanks for example. (as I said at the time "hey, at least they'll get a smile before they get vaporized) it's just a way of dealing with the stress.
