I am growing tired of the many verbal attacks on us Americans on this forum as if it is OK. If I sat here and bashed people from your countries, I would get a warning in the blink of an eye. I would possibly even get banned. I am a patriotic person, I love my country. I might not like the current administration but the great thing about America is eventualy this administration will be out the door by default.
I am not refering to comments about our governement though. I am refering to Americans as people. I have been reading many things here that are direct attacks on us. I take it personal and I would appreciate the respect of it stopping now. Like I said, if the shoe was on the other foot and it was me making comments about Brits, Chinesse, Ausies, Germans or any other culture, I wouldnt have the same freedom of expression.

I'm trying to track down some blanket statement that I can take righteous and honest offense at, something like, "All Americans are greedy, selfish bastards", and I'm coming up empty.
I found a thread whose title seems to imply that America is greedy for accepting aid, which looked like a promising forum for anti-American attacks, but despite a little bit of personal sniping I saw more interesting discussion about the dynamics of disaster relief than any sort of anti-Americanism. In general, not just in this forum, I'm seeing the international community stepping up to the plate and helping us out... even members of that community we haven't been very nice to. But maybe I'm just missing the anti-American posts. Are there some specific examples we can discuss? _____________________

And everytime there is a thread about China or Chinese people in particular there are *always* at least a handfull of out and out racist comments made. Worse, it seems clear to me that the folks making them aren't even aware they are making racist comments.
