Do I at least get some props for "go pluck yourself"? :)

that comment made me feel better about you 2 getting riled at each other

i thought you guys were gonna go try to take it to Jessie or WoW and have it out

but seriously, all the drama in that thread came from misunderstandings, so from a readers perspective, it did have entertainment value

kinda like 3's company

"Really show your nose for drama by predicting drama before it develops into a full blown episode."

:p

coco

I was referring to "in-thread drama", like if Poster A and Poster B have conflicting opinions and civil discourse is teetering on all out war, report it here and predict an incident

what you have done, Coco, is brought the topic of your drama thread in here. We are not here to debate topics. This is kinda like a scorecard for forum drama.

We are above the fray in here

we do not take sides in here. We are impartial scientists here observing forum drama in its natural habitat

bringing the drama into this thread is removing it from its natural habitat and bringing it into the lab

Coco, this thread is to moniter drama, not to engage in it. I thought I made it clear this was an observational thread, not a drama thread.

And Nolan is the only one who contributed correctly by prognosticating future drama(although that thread has stayed civil thus far)

so please contain all drama in the originating thread in the originating thread

this is a discussion and guide to the myriad of drama SL has to offer

Well, then, Mulch, kindly do not invite prognostications of future drama by including the sentence,

"Really show your nose for drama by predicting drama before it develops into a full blown episode."

IF that's not too much to ask, of course.

There IS no originating thread for it, because you asked us to predict future drama, and I did.

Next time, why not write, "Really show your nose for drama by predicting drama before it develops into a full blown episode - except Coco, cause I don't want to hear from her."

Really, why not take responsibility for your own invitations.

Oh, okay, well that explains it.

See, what I thought you meant was, "Really show your nose for drama by predicting drama before it develops into a full blown episode."

You asked - I delivered. Next time don't ask if you don't want to know.

for the record, my opinion on forum drama is that SL is not a game, hence there are no objectives, challenges, or anything to accomplish

so drama becomes the conflict of the "game" of SL

what do you expect when people and personalities are left to their own devices and mingled together?

Just my opinion why the drama in these threads tends to be so strong

people need something to "win", and the forums are the only challenge around here

At the risk of STARTING more drama...I have this small observation....

You cannot PREDICT drama when you are the one STARTING it. That means you shouldn't be posting in this thread to begin with. Otherwise that would be cheating since you can make the drama go towards how you "predicted.

My prediction for future drama is;

Torley decides to switch from watermelon to grapes. Or lemony-goodness. I like the lemons.

You are forgetting economics. Seems like half the people here are heavy into the whole economics deal, following the value of the Linden, and so on. That has lots of drama constantly, just not as flammable.

Yes, the only economic issues that tend to get flamey are those involving taking away vs keeping some type of financial payout. Oh, and selling free stuff is always good for drama.

O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth,
That I am meek and gentle with these butchers!
Thou art the ruins of the noblest man
That ever lived in the tide of times.
Woe to the hand that shed this costly blood!
Over thy wounds now do I prophesy,-
Which, like dumb mouths, do ope their ruby lips,
To beg the voice and utterance of my tongue-
A curse shall light upon the limbs of men;
Domestic fury and fierce civil strife
Shall cumber all the parts of Italy ;
Blood and destruction shall be so in use
And dreadful objects so familiar
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quarter'd with the hands of war;
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:
And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war;
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.

"Nor is there any drama more rich in variety and truth of character. . . . With all this, there is large alloy of inferior matter, such as Shakespeare too often permitted himself to use, in filling up the chasms of the scene, between loftier and brighter thoughts." :D

I'm leaving this thread. For many reasons, I feel this thread is not conducive to making me, personally, look really bright or witty and sometimes people disagree with me. As a result, this thread can't be viewed in any positive way. I will NEVER EVER come back to this thread. For those interested (which is all of you, that's why I posted this publicly), I can be found in other threads.

Thank you and good night! :mad:
