Don't worry, I'm NOT doing this long term. It's just silly. Leaving the things on while at work and sleeping, that's just weird. The noise alone (and heat generated when AC is off during those times) is annoying enough!

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

Couple more days...muwahahahaha!!! of course I have essentually 3 computers 1 duel core and a single core and I split them evenly with SETI@home so it will take a little bit to overtake ya :)

To give you an idea how far PC's have come, when I started SETI@home it took 36 hours to run one work unit. Today on my 4400+ duel core, it takes around 2 hours 20 minutes to run one work unit (sometimes less). Takes about 6 hours for an Eintien@home work unit.

I dunno, I added a couple of slow machines just to get a comparison. My 366 P2 laptop is taking 46 hours to do one work unit and the 1800 AMD about 12 hours and my supposed fast 2600 P4 laptop is doing worse than the 1800 AMD so I don't think there is much danger of them being a huge factor.

Actually the P4 shouldn't do too bad, that P4 is likely about as good as my 2nd best, it just takes some time for the effect to be seen that's all. Maybe your P4 is crippled with a crappy cache or something but I'm betting it'll start being a factor.

If I really need to I suppose I could always go back home in about two weeks and throw E@H onto another 3 or 4 Pentium machines...hehe... maybe it'd add up to that damn 4400+ thing. lol Now that's cheating...

Actually, the 4400+ runs cool, a lot cooler than anything else I got. The 2.66 P4 laptop is the one that could heat a home and it has done a whopping total of 3 units. The 366 still has another 28 hours before it finishes its first one. The 1800+ is about the same as the 2.66 and it makes me wonder why I paid so much for a proccessor that sucks so much.

I have run out of computers so yes, now would be a good time for a treaty, comrade. That is until I can find a way to run it on my Palm T3, hmmm.

Sigh.. I have 26 work units pending...

lol its mutally assured destruction then :p . I have 2 listed but i rarely ran the other one, and dont at all anymore as its in a box in my closet hehe. But I say we all buy the first person to reach 50k a hat that says "Member of Einstein's super powers club" :p
