Ati

good luck, it might work but i doubt it,
they drivers need more work with opengl

Nvidia

works, you may get "outdated driver blabla" from SL,
but uninstall driver, restart/reinstall usually work
or try beta/go back 1 version driver.

mmm
no. what is the mobility modder?
lol.
does anyone know if i can install xp on other partition?

Rod, the mobility modder is the application you download with the button just before the instructions.
As Tary says, you need to install the mobility modder before running it.
Then, following the instructions when you get to number 5 you should have a modify button to hit (click).

from SL Live Helpers to Technical Issues.

Rod, hopefully you've already solved your problem, but just in case.. this forum would be where you would want to post such a request/question.

this thread is the combination of three threads.

please make only one thread about a topic. i realize there may be more than one forum where a question is applicable; however, the forum rules state that duplicate (and beyond) threads are not allowed, as such.. it is requested that you create only one thread about one subject.

due to this reason, i have had to merge the threads, which may actually help to consolidate the answers to your problem/s. both those that exist and that may yet be posted.

i hope everything works out for you! :)

Nvidea with vista not so hot
05-23-2007 05:56
I use a powerful system that is Vista based and uses a 7600 GS PCIexpress card and it works but crashes a lot with the 100.65 drivers. but put in the later ones 154xxxxx and Second Life immediately comes back with does not support this video card resulting in a roll back.
So don't think that nVida is the total answer because until SL starts to officially support Vista there will be problems. Which is silly as any new computer users dont get the option to put XP back in. You cannot buy new copies any more.
