I have same clothing issues with a different nvidia card on a PC, and I've heard Mac users report it as well. It might be sort of randomly wide-spread. Only occurs with older, cheaper pieces of clothing though.... (well, cheaper because they are older -- bargain stuff I bought several years ago, I mean.)

Black texture over run fix for some items and SLI and graphics settings questions

From: Dakota Meriman I have same clothing issues with a different nvidia card on a PC, and I've heard Mac users report it as well. It might be sort of randomly wide-spread. Only occurs with older, cheaper pieces of clothing though.... (well, cheaper because they are older -- bargain stuff I bought several years ago, I mean.) I noticed the same problem with some clothes, boots mainly, and I experimented a little on ones I could modify. I found that if the color is set to black, and sometimes other colors, and the texture does not have have transparency to alpha map out the color where it is not wanted it usually causes the black, or other color to go to the waist. I have fixed a couple modifiable items by changing the texture/cloth, don't remember which it is called at the moment, but I changed that to the fully transparent image in the library. The changes were made on the file with the shoe icon that is worn along with the files that habe geometry in them. In one case I got pair of boots with 2 of the shoe files, one which attached to the sock slot and it was a no mod pair of boots, the first thing I was able to buy in SL. I replaced the sock connecting shoe part with the socks that came with my avatar's original clothing and that fixed the problem with those boots. I have only been playing a few days but I hope that helps someone out there. I know this thread is a little old but I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions on settings for running in SLI mode because I keep my system in SLI mode all the time. I was also wondering about the in game render settings and if there should be an x beside multiple threads or not. I am going to look for documentation on all of the settings for the rendering options but if anyone has any quick links or knowledge of the advanced graphics menu toggle settings I would really appreciate the help.
