Well, i rebooted and this time received a message that there was a problem. Also said to check grid status, which I did, and it still says the grid is up. Ok.. what goes here???

At least I dont find myself alone.. I still cant log in.. it just hangs there... Nothing happens, then i have to shut the client down because it reads at Not Responding

** Edited to say ** I am smacking my head on the desk, I have a mall to rebuild, and vendors to contact, a club to start building, a house, my house, more things, and some more, and lots of other things... Id like to log in and be able to finish some of these things... I should write a poem about this

"As the log in screen hangs, I smack my head off a wall.... (thats as far as i got.. lol)"

Ok.. login is going to be slow???? Listen LL this is what happens when you try to login. You click on the shortcut the login screen comes up. You click on the connect button. The screen showing your avatar and the progress bar is there in front of you. Only problem is, is that the progress bar never once moves an inch and after over 5 minutes waiting for login you then get a message there was an unexpected error and try again later.
It would be really nice if you said something here.... like an eta or just communicate other than the grid is up... even tho we all cant get to it

As of 3pm, the login was reopened. You should be able to login to Second Life now, although it may be slow. We again apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

^^ as it says it may be slow, hence your timeouts, its getting better, just be persistent the grid is slowly filling back up

yes but as the grid fills up the problem will only get worse...it needs to be fixed before it will get better

I have even tried changing locations, this has nothing to do with slow log in or grids filling up... people can't log in! There are over 4k people in the grid.. why are some not able to?

Cant login either been trying for the past 30 minutes :/ reinstalled SL and still getting the frozen login page. People I need to see are on and its killin me lol. guess I will keep tryin.

i'm back in, but found i logged in a different place to when i logged out, also wearing clothes i had changed before logging out.

Edit:
Looking at the map shows the northern continent completely empty
Scratch that, its populated now

As i sit here and watch the screen my mind starts to think of some new tickers for the login screen...

"Logging in. Second Life may appear frozen. Please wait."
After 5 minutes...
"Still logging in. Still frozen. How about a nice cup of tea while you wait!"
5 more minutes..
"Still logging in. Still Frozen. Tough luck huh?"
5 more..
"Still trying to log in? Although we say Login is back up, about 1/3 of the Second Life population still cant!"

"Second Life cannot log you in because I dont like you."
