Can't buy money

Is it actually charging but not going through? I wouldn't believe how screwed i would be if it did that.

Like they said on friday, they don't care. They have our money, it's weekend and time for them to spend it all. They will fix it when they need some more.

Of course.. when you create a game that so many people play.. you have to give up your entire life.. Holidays, weekends, any kind of break. Give it up. You're a slave to your own passion Linden!

Worst part is they most probably knew one couldn't purchase Lindens through the website. THAT bothers me most >.<

I lost the opportunity to buy 5 additional lots of land. I tried at least 20 times to make the purchases (totaling well over L$250,000) since Friday. This would have brought up my land use fees well above the tier for Concierge service.

To my dismay, these lots have all been sold.

I opened a ticket for help and received no reply from the Linden Lab support folks. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

After being a premium member for more than 3 years now, I am considering of finding another place to waste my time and money.

I think they are looking for an Uzbekistan firm to outsource it to.

It happened to me, haven't seen my money since June 1st. I doubt I will ever see it.

I just tried to purchase some Lindens again through the buy L$ page of the website (I did NOT try ingame);

AND IT WORKED! Purchased Lindens for 25USD and it went through. No error anymore as my countless of tries before. It went through! It showed on my transactions history, just now checked ingame and it's all there.

I hope this is not the case, I was able to purchases L$ when I first created my account and I have been unable to buy more since with many numerous attempts... I even tried the other "payment methods" with no luck.... if I am getting charged for failed attempts this would suck!. I am still unable to buy L$

I finally took the plunge and attempted to buy money via the website...and it worked first time. Maybe it's just overloaded now, but good luck to all.

And please Linden Labs...ANY danger of letting us know that this is a priority for today?

Why not play another better online game?? like World of Warcraft or There. I dont know of any others like SL but if people do know about a better online game like SL please tell me. SL has been like this for, at least, a year. I dont get on much because of the lag and errors I keep getting. I play WoW now and only that. I know I am a nerd. lol

I'm not so naive to think that I'm the first to ask this, but I'm new, so I'll ask it anyway. After all the adjustment of trying to think and act in "SLT", which coincides with "PST", which isn't too hard, because I live in "MST", why the heck is this forum delineated in "GMT"? Of all the crazy nonsense...is it because that allows the Lindens to say, "Well, we said Monday you would be able to purchase $Lindens, but that was Friday SLT, and we meant Monday GMT, which of course is actually yesterday now, so if you want to purchase $Lindens on Monday SLT, then you will need to cross the international date line PDQ so that it will be tomorrow today."?

The forums default to GMT. You can set it to any TZ you wish by going to http://forums.secondlife.com/profile.php?do=editoptions and setting to your local timezone.

yeah, still nothing on their incompetence. i wouldn't be surprised if, hypothetically speaking, i walked in there and saw one of them standing there with his/her thumb up their ass. i'd probably beat 'em senseless

*Claire's Update*: I finally got Lindex to work for me on the website. I had to re-enter the credit card data (same card and everything) *and* I got a call from my credit card company to authorize the charge about 5 minutes after I finally concluded the purchase. Methinks the credit card companies are taking a renewed interest in SL's activities.

Common it ain't normal that they must be loosing so much money and they can't fix it in a few days. Never saw something like this in my entire life.

It's time someone at linden labs takes responsibility for the demise of second life. This can't continue! People will get evicted from their homes and the only thing LL can say is that it works. Just criminal!

I just tried about 5 times to buy lindens from the web site and it still doesn't work. Guess they don't want me to spend any money in world. Must be another SL feature.
