I've tried several times, I've re-entered payment info at least four times, I've checked the credit card to make sure there's not a problem there....nothing. Tried it with a second account and a completely different payment method, same thing.
I opened a ticket on it yesterday and didn't receive a response. When I tried to log into the support system to check it today I got this message: Insufficient Account Information Invalid Querystring! Starting to wonder if the entire thing is melting down.... |

I had trouble with Paypal for a good couple of hours. Then just went and updated my payment method to my cc. Worked fine after that. But I rather not use my cc, yet forced to today. What the heck is going on with SL? Plus don't us that have premium accounts are to have full access to LL and their telephone numbers? I couldn't get in touch with anyone. Found a number to call, but it kept hanging up on me when transferring me to the operator. NOT A GOOD DAY AT ALL! |

Nerfel Snook, I think you are correct. I think it is melting down. Between the freezes, the crashes, the weird shifting textures and the inability to buy Linden $, I think SL is well and truly borked.
I am on day five of not being able to buy Lindens and am so new to SL that I think I am about to give up. This is defintely a SL problem and not a user issue. I've tried several credit cards (ensuring proper billing address and security codes were entered) and my PayPal account and get the same two messages each time: My account was not charged/please check my account agreement and the system was unable to process the order. This is insane! The whole point to SL is the creation of a persona and the ability to negotiate one's surroundings in SL. As it stands, I can't change my avatar in any way other than the minor ways provided by SL, participate in any sort of commerce, or even become a freakin' member of SL. By failing to remedy this problem soon, SL is driving away new users like me and actually turning down revenue. Not smart. |

Same problem - thought it was me - as my credit card wanted to double check if I had made the purchase and the delay in doing so seemed to screw the system up - I change my payment method and all seems to be back to normal again

The thing that I laughed about this morning is the topic is closed. Yeah...I can understand that ... they'd get slammed on this one by resident comments. Again, am I in the dark on this or what? Does Lindens have a number to call or not? For as large of a company they are, it really seems they would continue to provide that service. I mean they can afford the staff with this economy they've built. If Lindens ever come here and read, please consider bringing back the phone lines! I'm so old fashioned when it comes to customer service and I've been very pleased up until yesterday. When I can't get just one working number to contact someone in REAL LIFE to resolve an issue that's on your part, it really makes me want to walk away from SL. Please bump up the customer service to more than automation and support tickets. When an issue needs to be resolved NOW, how the heck can you ensure a support ticket will get that done? I was lucky enough to eventually be able to buy Lindens upon changing my payment info to my cc (which I don't use that cc much and truly rather not use it at all ... it's meant for emergencies ... and in last nights case, it was an emergency that I get that money to make sure someone was paid in world ... I'm a woman of my word and when I say someone gets paid ... THEY get paid). I can handle hair falling off my head, or rezzing an object, taking it back with a ghost object left behind that stands in traffic, but when it comes to my hard earn money both in world and out, this is where I take issue. This should be the LAST thing that ever goes down in this game. I'm a premium member and I seem to recall reading somewhere that we have access to telephone numbers. I go through all the support hassle and promised once done I'll have access to telephone numbers. Nothing...this is what made me even more angry. Thanks and I hope you will listen to some of our posts here. Don't let SL residents walk and please try to keep them happy better this next month. |

Same problem here. Been trying to purchase Lindens for over 24 hours and keep getting an error. I checked my PayPal account and everything is good. I updated my billing info for SL, even tho the current info should've been fine, and now waiting to see if that fixes the problem. I also am an eBay seller and PayPal screws up often. We all know that SL is even less reliable so there's no telling WTF is going on.

I had it with SL, this sucks big time. This like grand theft bank . What can i do with such an amount of lindens. And if you use live chat you get cut off without an answer?!
And they just go let this trough instead of blocking all buying or at least put a warning on the buying page they let people buy and buy lindens till their cards run out? Do they really think everyone reads the blog everyday? If this aint the biggest screw up in SL history i don't know why there are still people around on second life. |

Fun factor diminishing rapidly. Patience even faster. Here's what you're missing, SL... customers like to feel that they are noticed. That their concerns are heard and taken seriously. Read this thread. These are customers that could have been soothed a bit by a simple, even form, message acknowledging that what they have been promised has not been delivered. A passing mention in a blog that, had I not been informed by other disgruntled customers on this forum, I wouldn't have even known to check...that just doesn't cut it. "Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause." Your definitions are off. This isn't an "inconvenience." It's a source of frustration. An inconvenience is having to reach across the table for the salt. This is the frustration associated with having a small amount of time in the day to relax and enjoy being somewhere else...somebody else...and having that time eaten trying to figure out what the hell is happening to the mechanism that purports to make that escape possible. It's the uncomfortable feeling that the frustrations of day to day life, which I think it would be safe to say drove many of us here, are inescapable. In fact they are amplified in light of this irony. I'm gone. One customer....walking away. |

Now they post a blog saying to purchase your money thru a page that i already used to purchase lindens and still haven't received. as a bonus i find out they post this blog after the close customer support. Where is my money? Wait till monday and prove us you are an idiot by pushing the buy button one more time?! |

I must have tried ten times before anyone posted the blog saying that it may have well been charged but just not notified.. then I just spent about $3000 as well.. not good.... this is a huge problem..there better be a linden somewhere trying to figure out how to reimburse people..

I agree this is a total fabrication because I CANNOT buy Linden through the website listed above. I have added new purchase options, even transfered a hundred plus dollars into my PayPal account. Nothing will work. And I noticed Lindens are cheaper buying them in game versus through the website. I can by 27050 Linden for about $101.00 US and only around 26500 for the same amount through the website portal. I checked this out recently, checking the purchase amounts at both ends (inside SL and on the website) and there was about a five hundred linden discrepancy in the purchased amount. I don't have a problem waiting until Monday to buy Linden. I do have a problem with Linden making claims which are false. Technical difficulties happen and sadly this one comes on the weekend, which means it doesn't get fixed until Monday. However, they don't need to exacerbate the situation by telling lies. Linden, shoot straight with me and you'll get my sympathy and understanding, lie to me and you just piss me off. |

NO NO NO! What this means is that SOMEONE at LL gives up their weekend and sits their butt down with the code and FINDS and FIXES this MAJOR problem before they so much as take a potty break! It is NOT, in any imaginable way, acceptable to leave a "bug" like this over ANY period of time without someone working on it. If my billing cycle comes due on a weekend, I don't get to say to LL, "Well, it's the weekend, I'll pay you on Monday when I get around to it." I am expected to pay when I come due, and I expect LL to be at their terminals, wearing their little fingers down to nubbins if necessary, until SL is in working order for the people who have PAID for that service. |

I have extremely low expectations when it comes to customer service or dealing with critical issues. Right now, I'm sure those who would be fixing this problem, are happily spending the money we've invested into their little virtual economy. I completely agree its unacceptable. In the real world, a glitch like this happens, people are called, engineers are working twenty-four seven, people aren't sleeping until the issue is fixed but the Linden Group treats Second Life, well like it's their Second Life. Which means issues related to customer concerns comes secondary to creating things like cool lighting effects and sculpted prims. |
