Relogged seeing that new Blog Entry about finding the problem, turns out that is just bull$%^& too. Can't login AGAIN. Noone can leave the sim I'm in still. And nothing is fixed there. So frustrating.

this is unreal!!!! it's been sense 2pm today i have not been able to logon, plus having major problems from 2am 12 hours prior!!!!! they need to shut the whole thing down. it keeps making me mad seeing 30k people on there and my family and friends can't get on, we have orders to fill by the 14th and the 17 this is really messing things up for our business! i called to, and all i got was..look at the bottom of the web site and click on grid status....ok been doing that now6 hours!! and now my partner has to get to slepp cause it's getting late, and we lost a whole work day!!!! come on SL!!! geezzzz!!!

There are heaps of things in a queue to be processed, one of these things will be ghost avie's logoff's.....

As the queue is processed, the ghosts will disappear....

[UPDATE 4:35pm PST] It looks like we had a faulty piece of networking equipment that was difficult to identify and we have taken it offline. Some simulators will still experience some of the earlier issues (due to stuck asset return/uploading queues) and we are still working on it but some issues should subside. -Jean

, you know not everyone are computer geeks. all i do know is that they have not kept us up on what is happening, and that blog was some time ago. i know how to comprehend sonny. i'm letting off some steam, still can't get in, and my orders are getting behind. if you can't deal with me letting off a bit of steam, don't read it.

Yep, they just need to shutdown and kill all these inactives. All their ghosts will disappear and allow all fresh to come in. But that would result in a reroll of previous queues, so that is not going to happen.

Try this:

There are these big queue things, in them are all the things that people have pulled out of the inventory - and lost, bought - and lost, ghost avie's, etc, etc.

Now, what do you think would happen if they did an emergency restart of the grid? hmmm? Yes all the ghost avie's would go, and so would everything else stuck in the queue.

Thats my best educated guess anyhow.

i realise now, but just wished they did that when there were obviously some bad problems and just made it worse no doubt. Now I got a friends list full of zombies who now cant get in because silly them thought the grid was up, guess it will be another 6-8 hrs before they can.

i'm old enough to be able to make that comment, but not old enough to have a record.

THE DOWNTIME! It's like EIGHT HOURS - EVERY DAY! My god! I shouldn't be paying rent by the month when I'm only awake 16 hours a day! What a ripoff!

I CAN'T TELEPORT ANYWHERE! My car's out of gas! At least it's not as bad as it was back in early 2005, when you actually had to drive ON ROADS to get places and you couldn't just drive directly to where you wanted to go!

MISSING INVENTORY! I'm sure no one broke into my home, but every damned butter knife's gone missing from my kitchen drawers! HOW CAN I POSSIBLY BUTTER BREAD WITHOUT A BUTTER KNIFE???!!

I CAN'T REZ ANYTHING! Just because I'm sitting down doesn't mean I should have any difficulty getting my damned wallet out of my front pocket. NO, I'M NOT PLAYING WITH MYSELF!

TOO MANY UNVERIFIEDS ONLINE! Society would be sooooo better off if they just euthanized people earning under minimum wage. We don't need artists, visionaries, or creative people in the world, just people that can rake in dough! And I can't take a bus to work because there's a bunch of 'working class' people scum on it? How dare they not make a space for me? Because I'm an INVESTOR and I'm more important than some guy that's actually -struggling- to feed his family.

TRIED 400,000 TIMES TO CONNECT AND I CAN'T! And in that time I could have taken my mother out for lunch, for no reason other than to say thanks for being Mom. Or spent time with friends. Or gone to a movie, sat at the park, shopped for groceries, written short stories, baked cookies and shared 'em with the neighbourhood kids. (FYI: I *do* stuff like this RL. No fooling. There are fortunately people in the world still willing to be extrovirts.)
