CANT LOG IN?? is it just me???

[UPDATE 12:28pm PST] Our techs are continuing to investigate our network issues. Some of the in-world symptoms may include the inability to log in, group IM’s not appearing, teleport failures, failure to rez items, L$ balances not displaying, high packet loss, and other symptoms. I think is about time lindens opens up SL so external servers can be hooked into the grid against a fee. We host game servers our self and we got about 40 servers online in total. For americas army, BF2, armed assault, OFP and VBS1 and voice com server. And we're a small team.

We still patch them all when needed, do the server maintainance , run leagues and wohoooowww we even got a live support.

If this is growing over your head then open up for external servers. The game code is open source so let people hook their servers into the grid. This way you might even get real life companies getting their real v-offices on SL. This people don't want their corporation data on your servers. Not if they are as unstable as they are anyway.

Then again... you wouldn't be able to charge 300$ per month for a island no more

Uhhh...I can't even log in, and if I cant log in how am I going to move items to and from my inventory??!

Spread it out, too many people trying Plum could be a problem too.

Try Dore or Iris, or other sims that tend to be less inhabited.

GOOD IDEA!!! after 3 phone calls telling me wait time was 5-6minutes, and left 3 messages, no call backs yet after almost 24 hours, 3 emails, still NO reply.....you got to wonder?? with the money they are banking from US ALL..cant they upgrade their tech support to help us??????? This is a billion dollar business, time to invest some of our money into upgrading tech support and fixing these bugs...........

it seems to me their company is still too small as far as "good" customer support and respond time.

Just a thought, this update message seems to be very similar to the previous ones. It isn't coming from an automated answering laptop with an upload satelite link sitting on a pacific island beach, and lots of rich Lindens having a fabulous party is it?

Dont feel bad I cant log in either I just sit there then I get the error message that something has gone wrong, but yet its sayin online is sl down or up??????

Okay, that's not entirely true as I just managed to get on. Dore this time and moved to Braunworth.

It isn't really, cause I just logged. But it's messed up, cant TP, clothes and avatar not loading etc. Maybe all should log into the linden village

Looked like my tp wasn't working too, so I cancelled it. Found myself where I wanted to go.

Yep, 8 hrs and still no SL. I have done it all too, e-mailed (no response), re-loaded (no-luck), called (got tired of waiting for answer), so much for my only day off work to be able to play in SL.

And promptly crashed.

Ug I cant either. I havent been able to for about 10 hrs now. Its pissed me off so much. I was supposed to start a new job today. This looks fantastic. Stupid SL! Ive even emailed SL/Linden. I havent really seen anything on the website/blog about the issue. ARGH!! Yes, it is just a game, but seriously, addicts cannot quite cold turkey! I need my fix!!!

Yeah i have not had my daily SL fix...........im feeling a bit jumpy and a bit of a wreck, i feel like the world is moving on without me!!! (12 of my friends are on sl without me) yeah yeah, i wont stop bitching until i find myself back in sl , changing my av, buying more crap i dont need, fixing my house up and dancing at the local hot spots..............

Gonna go for a nap. Wake up & hey it's back. Don't we all just love SL.
It's quite easy to understand now.

From linden blog:
1. Technical issues (SL Is screwed)
2. Please be patient (wait at least a day, go have a sleep)
3. Thank you for your support (Keep spending your money, don't leave us!)
4. We are still looking into the issue. (Flip, the asset servers are dead)

At times like this seriously, it gives me a time to view other areas, like the forum, etc & read peoples comments, yes I am really * off to, but the whole SL experience is very addictive & unfortunately no other competitor to go to.

Please someone come up with good platform to compete with SL.

Obviously there are lots of people out there, trapped in real life, desperately banging on their monitors crying "let me in" I am so bored of this, it is so depressing, and I have a life too, what it must be like for the people with no lives I don't know, and what about the people with sl businesses, it is a tragedy! What really getsa me down is, I had a date!!!!!
Wouldn't it be nice if somebody from Linden Lab said sorry......

oh yes, SL 2 would rock!!!! I played TSO for 4 months before i found SL . TSO (the sims online) is just as bad as SL...they have given up on TSO and are waiting for it to die out. With no upgrades and so many issues they are just as bad, they do not have as many technical issues as Sl........but yes, there has to be a competition out there....maybe SL would wake up and pull the bannanna out of their arzzezz and work on making SL run more smoothly if there was competition for them.

Yes at least a more formal sorry.


As to SL2 seriously if paypal/ebay can handle billions of online transactions, & users then there must surely be someone out there thinking of competing with Sl, who has the money to invest and make it a more stable platform, with some compassion to it's users, without us the user, they would have nothing.......
