We need more menswear designers

Men's clothing is a pain to make simply because for whatever reason the clothing design templates cater to the female figure. I would say 99% of the mens wear that I make ends up being unisex simply because it also looks good on the female figure.

That being said, I am releasing a schlew of new men's wear over the next couple of days (because I've been proming to make more and have slacked on it) Hopefully, I will get the first batch up later on today. My new mens wear will be located in my main store Indigo's Mourning After, until I can get around to updating my other store locations around the world.

Also, I think the other issue is the difficulty in *finding* men's clothing. The other night, I went to go shopping and did a search for 'mens clothing'. There were a few shops listed, but not very many. When I went to check out the shops, some no longer existed or had one or two mens items.

Yah. I get that even in my store eventhough I separated out all of the men's/unisex wares and put them on one wall with a big sign that says Men's & Unisex clothing...

I wish SL had a directory function (like google) where you could type in men's clothing and have it shoot out a list of designers and locations with men's wear.

Here are some suggestions to retailers to help make sure people know you offer men's goods:

- in your directory listing, make sure to list 'men's clothing'
- place all of your men's goods near the front door or have clear signage directing them to the location of your men's goods. if they have to hunt it down in the back corner of your shop, you've lost most of them.
- consider working with other men's retailers to centralize men's clothing shopping areas.

Let's face it, the availability and selection for men's clothing is dismal when compared to what is out there for women. With the sheer volume of women's items, I think the few men's items get lost in the shuffle.


Oh, and I prefer a nice variety in what I'm shopping for: cyber/goth/punk/androgynous all the way down to some nice tame Gap-ish stuff.

There are 2 vendors of Men's clothing in Little Rebel. Jeans, slacks, bowling shirts, rockabilly/retro stuff, and a couple pairs of shoes. After my computer upgrade this week, I'll be concentrating on more men's clothing, and trying out suits and matching outfits.

I need to put a big sign up pointing them out since 90% of the other clothing is Women's or Unisex t-shirts, and the two vendors are easy to miss.

If anyone wanted to look, the newest store is in Gallinas 220,111. There are also stores in Wolof and Manua, 2 spots in Cartier Mall, and a new one in Talen's Rose Market.

Good ideas for retailers, Juro. I'll be changing my listings soon, and making big shiny signs.

This is soely the Line up for mens Items that I have on hand. A lot of Items were pulled due to quality Issues a lot pulled because people have managed to obtain a copy of my stuff through the permissions settings being messed up and have them for free to copy. Its awful funny when someone walkes up to you and says I got this great Leather vest for free at this place here let me give you a copy and it turns out to be one you created.

I will be producing more Mens wear shortly after Halloween

Right now I am going through and updating my vendors with bigger clearer pictures of all my product Line.

The reason Tshirts are eliminated is a lot of people infringe on copyright by taking direct items from the web and pasting them on a black/white/blue background and say wala T-Shirt. I wont sell any Tshirts that are copyright infringed nor will I sell any that are in essence usless and considering sale and the multitude of "T-shirt" Vendors out there I wont mess with it anymore. Id rather have quality out there than something stolen from the web but then again thats just me. I may in the future when I come up with my own Designs for Tshirt Lines but till then I won't.

I endorse Shadow!! I purchased some items yesterday and will be back today as I was interrupted before I had hit all of the vendors !! Great stuff and what I had been searching for the most part !!

This is an age old problem.. there are just not that many men's clothing designers out there.

I started makeing mens clothes. I sell a few per day even. My selection is around 20-30 pieces and is constantly growing.

My Main shop is in the Noyo Riverside Mall and I sell some pices at Designers Unlimited and some in the Utopia Private island.

I've been adding more men's clothing to Little Rebel over the last couple days. Aside from what was already in the vendors, I've been working on suit jackets with attatched shirts, and optional pants. I'll keep adding more as I get them done.

I've got some up as Standees to show them and sell them as outfits, and also to show better where the menswear vendors are, thanks to Juro's helpful suggestions above. (Also added "Men's Clothing" to the parcel list.)

I make some mens clothing and am currently working on more RL looking clothing for them such as henleys,polos, etc... I just need ideas of what men want and I will be glad to try and help. IM me in world if you have suggestions.

I sell men's clothing and intend to have a lot more things out for winter.
I am adding more clothes to my stores this weekend, in fact.
I also do skins, and have started a new line that you can tint, to make any skintone you can get in the sliders.
My stores, BAZ, are in CentreVille Mall, Pyramid Mall, Mexican Town (I have a large store by the teleport with my SL sister, Meritum Lily), and 19 other locations in SL. And I have a catalog you can IM me for.
I occassionally do custom work, but my biggest problem is time, as I have many projects lined up. But I always do my best and have many satisfied customers in SL.

Please guys work on some men's shoes/boots as well. I'd love to fill out my wardrobe and have found a few places.

Warning - Stereotypical Generalization ahead:

I've found in RL that men and women have a bit of a different approach to shopping for clothes and it might apply to SL too. Women seem to enjoy browsing, whereas men make up their mind ahead of time and look specifically for a clothing item. However, this is not true with respect to shopping for gizmos and guns. Clothing designers might take this into account and set up their vendors accordingly near places or items that men actively seek. Make sure the clothing vendors aren't the scrolling kind, so men can just see everything at once, make the decision "yes, that's for me!"and go on with their interminable gizmo hunt...hehe You might see "demand" go up in that way...

Hello again Happy SL Shoppers!
I was messing around with some clothes this week, and in addition to the do rags made some jeans, leather gloves, and a spiffy biking jacket for all you roadsters out there!

I will be working on boots this weekend, engineer boots, and will post pics as soon as I get them done.

You can find these at BAZ stores like:
Eternity Isle Men's Mall (Eternity sim)
The Mexitown BAZ store at the Mexitown hub (Mexitown sim)
And of course, the main store at SkyNet! I will place them out in as many other BAZ stores as have room.

Edit: There are 2 Mexitown BAZ stores...there is one right at the hub by the Bingo Parlor, and that's where these clothes are. Not in the mall. Not all my stores really have the room for new things until I rotate them.

1. Check out Tanaquil's Japanese traditional outfits. I know she has at least locations in Tehama, Orelle, and my shop in Varney.

2. For those of us who don't want to have 3 yard wide shoulders, could clothing designers maybe provide some less-linebacker-y sized models to show how clothes wear on non-linebacker-sized AVs? I've noticed the fit tends to be altered.

well, I'm not built like a linebacker, and my clothes look just fine on me.
I'll gladly model my clothes and skins for any discerning customer, and I have.
