My hat is off to Flip and Jen. This was just an excellent, low- or no-hype presentation on how Second Life can be USEFUL. Imagine that, a "game" (CNBC's word) that is useful for something besides mindless entertainment! I do wish that they had made it a point to actually say that the two avatars they were showing there toward the end actually were Flip and Jen. Kudos! P2

Jennyfur, thanks for posting this as a bulletin on MySpace.. i immediately watched the vid, then came here to comment. i'll be posting it in the Second Space forums as well. congrats guys! that was anamazing interview.. and i agree with others here, there really did fit alot into that small segment. (i'm guessing there was more that was edited out for time) it was nifty seeing the LL office! makes me want to visit even more now! superb relation of SL's capabilities. how eclectic.. just Flip and Jennyfur alone span from clothing design to virtual job training for a gas station!! plus the mention of Brigadoon, The Lost island idea (awesome!), real estate and more.. between that bit and Philip appearing at GDC on monday, i'm assuming we should be bracing for another major influx of new users! i hope we can handle it.. in any case.. HUZZAH!

That was really a great piece! Definitely the best TV story that's been done on SL, by a longshot. It was pure enthusiasm from beginning to end without any of the "are these people for real?!" undertone that so much of the SL coverage ends up with. You two did a great job! Thanks for posting the video.

yeah what Chip said! For ONCE an article not jumping first to that "other industry" that seems to get so much facination. Excellent presentation. I could have sworn I saw a streak of purple in Flip's hair there...maybe just the stage lights reflecting...

How does Phillip look hotter every year? He looks like he is getting younger every year. Nice news spot. I thought Anshe asked people to stop saying she made over 100K a year because it wasn't true (or she is dodging taxes)?
