"Bash" is "express a critical opinion in an unfriendly way".
"Harass" is "repetative and unwanted communication or presence".
"degrade" is not a relevant term.
"slander" is "maliciously damage a person's reputation through speaking intentionally untrue statements of fact".
"libel" is slander in printed form.
Bashing is not outlawed. The others (with the exception of "degrade", which could fall under slander) are.
Let us compare bashing and, for example, slander.
Bashing: I think you're a stupid monkey with no brain. = statement of opinion.
Slander: You murdered a man. = statement of an untrue fact.
Understand?
If I said; "Americans suck", that's clearly an opinion (unless you're being ridiculously literal). If I said "Americans eat babies", and you can prove that I am intentionally distorting the truth, then that's libel.
