Can anyone tell lill ole me what an asset server is and why the urgency... oh and pardon my spelling, grammer, punctuation and dictation.

The asset system has been screwed up since version 1.7, and limping along without a proper fix. Wonder how long it will be before LL starts scheduling daily downtime, since the last more than a few upgrades we've gone down the day before and some the day before that.

heh i lost hundreds of rl dollars in this crash, I aint happy, but i'm hoping we get the grid back soon, i miss my friends already....

Your lucky I lost EVERYTHING. I got a ton of landmarks not found messages then crash game down.

When I logged back in it said it could not find my body parts (skin, custom ava shape, etc) and was giving me a standard body.

Then when i tried dressing myself it said my clothes are not in database.

Long story short EVERYTHING in my inventory was inaccessible.

I hope it's all back when they fix things otherwise I am literally out tens of thousands of lindens in items. (actually I am more concerned about my custom ava, took me ages to get it looking just right).

Jeezus! I have things to do and people to meet...was in the middle of preparations for an event that happens tomorrow, if we can get in tomorrow. Are there reimbursements for down time to paid accounts?

Profile pictures and my friends textures were all replaced by a white picture with a nice "Missing Image" on it when I relogged a minute before the down. While she couldnt change clothes anymore. And of course online detection was messed up again. *sighs*
The odd thing is that region reboots, updates and downtimes only ever happen when I want to be wit her. LL is against our friendship.

I wonder how much is going to evaporate out of my inventory? Fortuantely I have quite a few redundant copies so the damage shouldn't be too bad. If the build I did today goes AWOL, I've got notes on a sheet of paper next to me.

The assest server failure has been an ongoing problem since 2004. During the time its been failing I have lost ALL of my textures, all snapshots from 2003-2004 that were in a folder, and most of my animations.

I, for one, am NOT giggling.

I have to ask because im horribly nervous,is everything that wasnt found lost forever? Because i tried over 50 items which none were found,can only lead me to conclude that my entire inventory is lost?

If thats the case,im gonna quit ;_;

God i hope we have everything there..i bought all originals in my clothes and pulled real money from my bank account to get setup with everything i wanted....i just hope it's there because i really loved the originals and know there is no way to get them from anywhere else..and my look ..god i'll never get that back again..it took forever and a day to get the way i wanted..

i would think there is some kind of backup they have for this they can put our stuff back if it is gone ...i hope anyways...

I'm not laughing either.

Every single thing in my inventory came up missing, if it's still gone when I get back in there, I'm going to cry and find a new job. The last asset server eating cost me thousands of dollars in inventory, so much so that I made an alt just to back it all up this time.

The sudden and impending doom logouts make me feel like the end is extremely fucking nigh.

LL upgraded their patching method. Tired of the post-patch bugs and downtime? All welcome the Pre-patch ones!

And yes, i'm NOT laughing myself. LL please get a grip, because i NEVER saw such an hail of problems even in the worst beta of any online environment.
