is that all the packet loss you get? Mine goes up to over 100.0 and I am not on wireless. If anyone has a helpfull tip plz let me know OK you win. That IS bad!! |

Dunno about packet loss..but right before the grid went down, I lost all my chat chans. I could still talk inworld, in IM, etc...but no chat chan would function. that is all.

Just before it went down the sim I was in crashed and it took changing my port setting three times to get back in. Then while I was busy retexturing like I was before the umpteenth sim crash today... BAM!!! the whole blooming thing goes down. Things have been falling apart all day and LL just doesn't want to admit it.

pheeeeew thought it was just me, i even rebooted my puter, at least that is the good news
just hope and pray we don't have another roll back like we did yesterday (thursday) I was so upset when i eventually got back inworld and found all the furniture i just placed in my new house prior to the crash had just gone POOF! I know it was a roll back of about 30 mins to 1 hour, because all the modifications i did earlier were back into their original postions *sighs* I spoken with live help and they told me to clear carche and relog (confused) which i did, still not back in my inventory. so they advised me to send in a bug report. Hey Torley if you're reading this, what are the chances of getting my items back if any ? yeah yeah yeah i know, LL are not responsable for items lost when THEIR server fails and we the paying members loose out because LL decides to roll back *sighs* |

Well at that point and the strange dil and frame timing i knew we were in for a long day......... _____________________

Are you still getting pocketloss before the crash? You might need to reinstall sl client...... uninstall and then reinstall......... Make sure you install from a fresh dl or just install directly from the dl site. Don't use the one you may already have on your pc as it could have gotten gimped during downloading. |

Hey Torley if you're reading this, what are the chances of getting my items back if any ? yeah yeah yeah i know, LL are not responsable for items lost when THEIR server fails and we the paying members loose out because LL decides to roll back *sighs* Eeek. I don't know the stats on that, Peta... sorry, I wish content loss never happened. There are regular backups done for every sim (called "hourly autosave"  and my understanding is rollbacks are usually done for safety when the data is damaged, but another option--in addition to everything else you tried--is to give the creator a holler and let them know what happened. Chances are they can relate and can help you out... I've done it before as I've had lost inventory too. Best of hope! _____________________

I noticed a lot of pple on my friends list getting logged out about 20 minutes before the crash too. I didn't get logged, but I saw them all go offline one by one and prepared myself for crashing (heh, yeah I'm wondering wtf I mean too...I prepared myself MENTALLY, lol). I say a lot of people on my list logged out a while before, too. Could have been coincidence. Kyushu |

I logged out and logged back in with no problem, but my character was in a different part of my house entirely than where I logged out. I figured it was just a hiccup and then went to go shopping with one of my girls and then the world ended. Damn apocalypses! Never give you ANY warning at all. |
