Bring along your dancing shoes and don't forget to brush your chest hair! You run a farking Disco and judge other people's proclivities? What's that about "removing the plank from your your own eye asswipe"? Wasn't that in the bible or sumptin?

From: Nepenthes Ixchel Cake > irrational numbers. You post caused me to learn what irrational numbers are. I don't know if I should thank you for forcing more knowledge into my head or curse you for causing it to be filled with more things I'll probably never need to know.

It's no part of my SecondLife experience. If someone came up to me and wanted to discuss almost anything political with me I'd tell them to come to the forums, if they wanted me to go to some rally I would laugh - I don't even have time to go to the meetings for groups/causes I do get into like Neualt or FFRC... The sparse time I have in-game lately is serious business! In other words, if you don't want to be a part of something, don't. If you don't want to read a thread, don't. You control the remote. From: Lewis Nerd Shouldn't we just leave real stuff where it belongs - reality - and stop bringing all this crap into game where it's entirely unnecessary? Sure, I think we should. But I think giving people the freedom to do whatever they want in SL is more important than trying to enforce any one particular agenda...

I don't know if I should thank you for forcing more knowledge into my head or curse you for causing it to be filled with more things I'll probably never need to know. Could have been worse. Could have mentioned the golden ratio, that would have been something else to look up

Mmm... doughnuts. For some reason I've had a real craving for them for the past week.
On the subject of doughnuts, you guys heard how many SOE sent Penny Arcade?

I see we now have a pie discussion going on on in the forums. This carries on with the cheese discussion that annoys a lot of people too.
Shouldn't we just leave tempting foodstuffs where they belong - reality - and stop bringing all this crap into game where it's entirely unnecessary and tempts me to log off and rush to the bakery?
It's a game. A chance to escape from all the things that annoy us - like empty calories, and crumbs in my keyboard. If you want to eat that stuff, get your own private sim and talk about pie and cake there as much as you like, but don't bring that crap into the game and annoy everyone else who doesn't care and doesn't have the willpower to avoid reading threads involving ala mode or to skip events that might put ideas in their head, tempting them to make an unscheduled fridge raid.
Why? There is a world outside the bakery. We don't care about your preference for apple or French Silk. That's what reality is for.

From: Elle Pollack Good on-topic post, but lots of off-topic chatter. Try to keep that to a ninimum guys. Thanks. *goes back to sleep* OK, here goes then: It's a game...but a real game. Playing it is real for me. Discussing things beyond cartoon castles and cyborg sexxxors is part of that real game for me. No where in the documentation was I led to believe that I had to limit myself in the manner you are suggesting because other people might get annoyed. Politics doesn't annoy everyone. Disco doesn't annoy everyone, but it does annoy many. This is famously known. Get rid of it. What about money and economics? Too real for me. I don't like selling stuff and advertising and all that jazz. Get rid of it. Katrina relief. Ditch it. Support for Healing location. Not appropriate. SLCC streaming live vid into SL. WTF? Annoying as hell since I didn't get to go. Off with their heads. The E-Sheep cafe event also streamed live vid of RL. No way, Jose! The Lessig discussion. Waaay too real. Who the hell asked him to talk anyway? Amsterdam sim? Dangerously close, let's ask What would Lewis Do? in that case.

I do not give a darn what people do on there land. SL is not a real world to me i think of it as a 3D webpage. sl is not that improtant to me to get upset about things that people put on a server. SL is nothing more than a computer program and not worth the time to get worked up over anthing done here.
I don't even care about my spelling in this post lol

I discuss rl politics in the forums because some have interesting approaches and world views. That's the same reason I discuss politics irl. I don't expect our discussions in the SL forums to change anybody's mind. What I hope for are enjoyable discussions and reducing FUD.
I've participated in SL drama in the past. It's no longer something I enjoy. That's especially true in the forums.

From: Tuffy Pussycat Is that like the failed Active world browser? Absolutely NOT. Shame and spankings all around. Which, incidentally are other fave RL activities that I can do in SL.
