Hmmmm Well i gotta say TY to elinea. Most of these people havent been to Republik though so they cant know or have an opinion on it . We may not have alot of traffic but we do try to dedicate ourselves to showing people a great time. We dont run alot of events in General. At max currently like 3 a week. The other times are jsut live Dj's with hosts on hand . Sure we have escorts and stuff but we dont try to jam them down your throat or anything . Im biased as the owner of course but we put alot of hard work into the place. We took 10 months to do everything ourselves in fact. This was buying up land, saving L, developing skills, building on making better things reworking stuff to work better etc. Stuff is built/scripted by us aside from the greedy greedy table and the on a roll table and the animations used. Even went as far as to make our own dance machines and raffle ball etc. If you havent been come check it out we have live dj's on every day from 1-9 and mainly focus on Dance/Techno/Electronica with some rock thrown in depending on the Dj . All our dj's are great and we love the staff they have. We consider our staff more like a family. I'll throw out the invite for everyone who hasnt been. Come on down to the butler sim and check out Club Republik . I think you may enjoy it and i hope those of you that come look will enjoy it as much as we all do

Club Ecstasy
06-21-2006 18:51
I would have to stay Club Ecstasy all the way very very low to no lag and has have over 30 people in there with no trouble all kinds of Music hot dancing and good old fashion Fun... the Djs play what You want to hear not limit it to what they want to hear as well as the Host have wonderful events and all get along as one and have fun who could ask for More from a club. So in My eyes and Many others we Know where our hearts are and its Club Ecstasy many May stray but they always come back.

My favorite club in SL is a scripted baseball bat.
In RL I like the 6 cell MagLight that uses C batteries or one of the old school polycarb pr-24s.

I don't dare name one...

All the clubs I really like seem to close. A tribute to clubs past:
Club Felix The G-Spot Euphoria Equator Gypsy Exposé
A special thanks to Club Felix, and the people who made it special: Felix Marat, Evangeline Elytis, Detect Surface, and all the gang. It was the first place in Second Life to make me feel welcome; for my first month in SL, it was the closest thing to a home I had here.

Not sure which club I like the most or not...to busy most of the time. I do not like clubs that give out prizes to people that work at that club. A lot of times I saw the same ppl winning every time. This pretty much ruins it for any newbie trying to win any contests.

A lot of times I saw the same ppl winning every time. This pretty much ruins it for any newbie trying to win any contests. That doesn't necessarily happen because of people who work at the club winning. At many clubs, there is a strong core of regulars who only vote for each other in contests. Because of the force of numbers of that group, it is pretty much impossible for an outsider, especially a female outsider, to win a contest at a club like that. (Men can sometimes manage it because so few play; sometimes there is only one, which makes the voting really simple.) I have seen cases of somebody with a clearly inferior outfit, or somebody who really isn't even playing the correct contest game at all, winning because of that effect. I would like to urge everybody who goes to costume contests and votes to cast their votes on merit -- vote for what is being worn, not who is wearing it!

From: Candy Tripp I agree with the poster who said that Club Schmooze is very well decorated. Only sad thing is every time I've been there to have some fun the place was empty. Thank you for the compliment, though Schmooze is only "open" on the weekends. The sim has events 7 days a week, Schmooze just being a small part of it

My favorite clubs are basically where my favorite DJs are. Sometimes Schmooze, sometimes Bad Girls. And then while not really at a club, I love all the live music events, whereever they may be.

From: Tya Fallingbridge head on over to schmooze on pixel dreams .. you may be quite surprised I haven't been in the club scene for a couple years...and ran a successful one in the 1.3 - 1.4 era, and have to say that from my recent return and explorations...Schmooze is a solid build, with a true club feel. Haven't been to an event there yet but Tya gave me a tour and it's definitely a class act! Jimmy did an amazing job with Gravity too...was a great display of his ongoing ability to bring new effects in texturing to SL. Was too bad they had to derez and put it away. To me a great club gets you there because of the crowd's vibe and the music. My niche was bringing DJ's who streamed from turntables rather then swappin MP3's...nothing compares to the sound of a needle firmly planted in vinyl grooves! If a club resorts to several events about "best ...", or is just pixel porn won't get my attention. I am a purist I guess and have only enjoyed clubs in SL that had RL club qualities - not just ploys to raise dwell.

For me, it's all about the music. I like Wetbodies, but only when Jessica is DJ'ing there. I like Ministry of Sound, all their DJ's are good and they play a nice mix of good music. My favorite 2 DJ's there are Jenny and the furry Ryuen. Sorry Jen, but he's still the better DJ. Finally, i adore Artillo as a DJ, so Club Triquetra is also on my favorites list.

I also love Triquetra because of the staff who work there, the atmosphere, Artillo of course (he plays a great selection of music).

From: Elinea Richard As of right now what would you say your favorite club in Second Life is at the moment and why? No contest. The Shelter. Friendiest place in SL. Plus my Trivial Obsession game show is there Not to mention Payment Podium three times a week, Building Shelter, and Second Fortune.

Has to be the Blarney Stone!! Great bunch of people, great owner (Ham Rambler) and a great regular DJ in Michelle Woebegone.
I'm also partial to the live music spots, the Hard RoC, Muse Isle, etc. etc.

Well, I really appreciate hearing I was mentioned on the forums! Thanks guys that means a lot to me! Well, on this subject.... I've been DJing for over 3 years online, and played at many different types of places... some stick out in memory more than others for various reasons. here's some of my favorites over the two years I've been in SL: My first gig in SL was at a place called Seaside Casino, it had an Egyptian theme if I recall, and it wasn't too laggy. They used to have some good parties there. Eros (back when it was on the mainland in Crimson Sim) - some great parties especially out poolside! Crystal Beach (now defunct) - the club was outside on a beach in a private sim... very nice atmosphere and great people! they had a Slingo game there and it was far enough away that it was out of chat range and didnt lag the club down. Manhattan Snail Races (Chase Manhattan and RacerX Gullwing) These were perhaps some of my favorite times DJing at these events! Baby Dollz - As far as adult clubs go, great build in a great sim, usually a lot of lag though, some because it's such a popular spot, I'm sure. Club Triquetra - This is where I do most of my gigs these days... I also just started at a place called Oddity which looks great inside too... Honestly I care much more about the music I expose people to than the place I play it, but it does get interesting sometimes given the right ingredients! Happy Clubbing everyone! Arti PS - Hey Flip, when u gonna have me over there to guest DJ???!?!

07-12-2006 14:00
Simple Paradise is a great place for social interaction and friendly atmosphere. Most clubs I have been to are all about the sex and getting ur close off LOL. But Simple Paradise isn't like that. Everyone is great comp[any and there is no sexual whatever there. Thats my fave place!!!!
My Second fave is Ministry of Sound!!!
