Favorite Club in SL?

Elbow Room & the pub in Dublin sim. Small areas usually packed with people. Clubs where the next person is 10m away just seem deserted.

Also the RELIC Standing Stone, if just for the excellence in building, though it's not really a club as no one goes there for clubbing

OK well since I work at a club... My opinion is very biased although I love Club Ecstasy for the music (live DJs most times and when not Techno is the major type of music played.) The events are pretty fun due to the strange and wide variety of ideas the team comes up with as well as the awesome people that hang out there, most of which are my closest friends.
On a non-biased note: I do like a few other clubs. The Edge is alot of fun to go to for the people, I have yet to come across a bad situation there. Hot Licks is great though I don't go there much only because of the lag issues. Bad Girls is another good one again for the awesome people and live DJs...

Personally I think there are alot of really good clubs in SL if thats the type of fun you're looking for. I would be interested to see more non-club based events and activities mostly because when you work in a club and sepnd most of your time there... Its nice to get out and do something else with your down time

And just to add a bit about Hot Licks, it's not the same club music over and over. Also always having live DJs during operating hours really adds to the interaction (although I am a bit bias'd). I know my music collection has shot up since coming to the club, just from being exposed to new bands.

As to the person who posted not liking events, I don't see what the difference is really. You don't have to participate.

Main thing is enjoying the people, and the music.

And thats my 2nd favorite =). Spent the night there with someone special last night..... made a proposal....

The only club I like is(are) the one(s) that is(are) closed down. All that time and creativity wasted, oy!

I <3 Radio Radio club with Trin & Nala in Midnight City

The Blue Note is my favorite because it is calm and relaxing and romantic.

Now the other night while out exploring I came across the Ritzz this place was great. No one was there but me and a friend and it was just so cool the way the owner planned it out to be a 30's and 40's style place. And the stage with the instruments was way cool. And the big bang style music I dug this place and will be going back and looking for events there.

The Salsa Bor (sp) in appollo is also a favorite. Im a sucker for pretty places.

Now as far as the more mature clubs I liked Playtime the people there were great, and Club Kohana is cool went to a sock hop there that was fun!!

And Lewis's Disco place is very cool. Liked the music and the dances. After reading what I like I think places that are themed or set to an era are the ones I like.

Oh and I can't leave out the country ones I like Wildhorses and one more forget the name the Mccoy place.

Schmooze on the Pixel Dreams sim. Fantastic build, great people, fun stuff like trivia as well as experienced and awesome DJ's!!

Well, it's not really a "club", but I hang out the most in Luskwood. Friendly people, music, dancing, lots of fun.

As far as actual club-clubs go, lately I've really been digging Angry Ant. I love their nightly rave - there's always awesome music, a good turnout of fun people, and a good mix of furries and humans without any aminosity between the two types of avs.

I haven't been to Angry Ant yet, but I personally love the Elbow Room and Club Akasha, and the pub in Dublin also gets a nod from me. To me, the best clubs are where you can come and actually get conversations going on, instead of random gesture spams... I could care less about contest money, but I do love a good theme night, I love trying to get my avitars to fit the theme.

ok, yeah I"m biased also Our lag factor really is the best in SL though, except for clubs that are EMPTY.

I spend most of my club time at the VooDoo Lounge. The variety of music, the decor and the fatastic people that hang out there make it a fun way to end any evening.

I agree with the poster who said that Club Schmooze is very well decorated. Only sad thing is every time I've been there to have some fun the place was empty.

Ok my opinion is a bit biased because I work there and I helped build it, but fave place is The BDSM Forum and here's why:

No sex balls and porn posters lying around in plain sight. In fact not a single poster anywhere, though if you can find the secret really well hidden dungeons you'll find the balls. The club covers an entire island so you have to explore to find them. (HINT: Don't be afraid of the water or the snake and look for something called lana's secret)

Really great discussion events on all kinds of topics.

Yes we have dance events where people get to dress up in theme but the contests for prizes are actual games where people have to chat and communicate together while they're dancing in order to win. Also pillow fights and games.

The name says BDSM but we have so many members who aren't there for that that we end up having just a big variety of people.

It's open all the time so its not just events, there's also almost always people just hanging out, sitting around talking or playing (non profit) greedy greedy or just doing whatever. There is almost always someone there.

And yea ok I guess I've rambled enough ... I mentioned I'm a bit biased.

I dunno if it's a "club" but the Blarney Stone has always been a nice place to hang out. If you want to get away from the clubing. Then again I haven't been there in awhile and it's grown quite a bit.
The owner is pretty cool. Heck he's got an entire Dublin city now. I remember when all he had was a lil pub. lol

Hmmmm Well i gotta say TY to elinea. Most of these people havent been to Republik though so they cant know or have an opinion on it . We may not have alot of traffic but we do try to dedicate ourselves to showing people a great time. We dont run alot of events in General. At max currently like 3 a week. The other times are jsut live Dj's with hosts on hand . Sure we have escorts and stuff but we dont try to jam them down your throat or anything . Im biased as the owner of course but we put alot of hard work into the place. We took 10 months to do everything ourselves in fact. This was buying up land, saving L, developing skills, building on making better things reworking stuff to work better etc.

Stuff is built/scripted for us aside from the greedy greedy table and the on a roll table and the animations used. Even went as far as to make our own dance machines and raffle ball etc. If you havent been come check it out we have live dj's on every day from 1-9 and mainly focus on Dance/Techno/Electronica with some rock thrown in depending on the Dj . All our dj's are great and we love the staff they have. We consider our staff more like a family.

I'll throw out the invite for everyone who hasnt been. Come on down to the butler sim and check out Club Republik . I think you may enjoy it and i hope those of you that come look will enjoy it as much as we all do
