From: Ingrid Ingersoll haha.. no no... nothing sinister. Some friends of mine are thinking about buying an island and It's just been interesting watching how our land needs change as we get older in SL years, and as our priorities change. Well neighbor if this means your going to liquidate anything in Barcola, I am always in the market to buy in that sim (although it would be a shame to see your builds go).

From: Ingrid Ingersoll I find now that the land I use most often is a large sandbox area that good friend of mine and I co-own on the mainland in Fuchsia. When I first started, I was preoccupied with the idea of making a neat little hang out of my own that looked sort of real. Now I just want open space to build. And few trees. It's got to have trees. Nail on the head. Especially regarding trees. I plant a freaking ton of them anywhere I can. My land requirements are very similar, although they've never changed. I've never been interested in having a traditional house or whatnot in SL, just don't see the point. What I need is a lot of water and a nice area to build in, with lots of trees. That's why I've been thinking of moving to an island myself recently. The performance on the mainland has devolved to such where I can't really enjoy building or testing anything in my home sim anymore. I've taken to dragging my crap out to a public island somewhere and kicking around with it. You can't even use the public sandboxes anymore, there's always someone who hasn't a flippin' clue totally fucking up the simulator with some badly scripted physics object or something. Or it's just so cluttered up with crap you can't get any decent space in it.

I highly recommend island ownership. It gives you that warm, imperious feeling.
