Oh, cool. SL does have a service level agreement in the ToS. Working in tech support myself, it's not often I see anyone with one! In cases like that(without an SLA), it's pretty much 'bend over'.

That said, this is the internet. And we are dealing with computers. When we get to a day and age where everything works properly all the time with no outages... well, I don't think any of us will live that long.

I think the customers need some kind of Rebate or compensation for loss of game time.

According to what doctrine does this idea arise? You do realize that if Linden Lab were to "compensate" close to 200,000 players even if it is only $1 USD a piece that it would be a major economic loss for them and if they did this everytime there was an extended downtime that they would go bankrupt in a matter of months.

Do you realize how moronic this is? let me spell it out one more time

If Linden Lab were to compensate monetarily all say 175,000 residents for "downtime" that the economic drain on Linden Lab cost wise would force Second Life into a permanent downtime.

Is that what you want Magnum? No more Second Life? Because your "economic prowess" leads to that conclusion at every turn.
