I tried to log in and it "Failed" I come to SL website.. "www.secondlife.com" this comes up: Second Life Offline for Database Maintenance or Update The Second Life grid and portions of the Second Life web site are currently down for maintenance or update. We appreciate your patience and we will re-open the grid as soon as the maintenance or update is complete. Please wait 10 minutes before attempting to log in or reload the website. In the meantime, perhaps you would like to peruse some external sites as listed at http://del.icio.us/secondlife. WTH!?

' You have been logged off by an adminstrator' Fair enough, but can we at least have 2 mins warning out of courtesy?

I decided to take a nap so I logged out before all this happened.
Did any of you see any system behavior that might resemble a grid attack?

I didnt see anything, was listening to live music. But the JEVN group were full of ppl complaining about notecards not loading etc, typically asset server down problems.

No it didn't go down like a grid attack in fact it was really strange and never saw it like this. Took maybe ten minutes to crash all the way. A bunch of us were in store. We could message, move and even IM just fine, when someone noticed she couldn't TP. Couldn't buy anything, couldn't pull from inventory etc. But could still I'm move and message like usual. Kept waiting for the shoe to drop and the sim crash and it eventually did. Never expirienced a SLOW CRASH before.
