My question for LL is, without being able to name names in cases like this, how are we, the honest residents, supposed to be able to know who the low-life scum suckers are that pull dirty tricks like this person has done? Does it all really need to happen on outside forums sites? I hear 'innocent until proven guilty' echoing in my head. Perhaps so. Well then, we need a mechanism to prove his guilt or innocence, and then to see him puinished if he is guilty. Opague police blotters and slap-shod enforcement are not enough. I would love to see a real ratings system implimented that could allow residents to at least 'tag' residents. +/- ratings used to mean a great deal to me when dealing with people. -Ghoti _____________________

The citzens/residents must know the 'who', to take their own actions. I'd love to see a new ratings system with both positive and negative ratings, like in the old days but more refined.

Half-arsed solutions based on ban lists and shunning are the main thing that will result from more widespread abuse, with the added complication that anyone can register an alt if they are exposed, so add in a good shake of alt paranoia. There are also ways to disrupt businesses and annoy people that are either TOS-legal or get-away-with-able (otherwise we wouldn't have mafia and so on). But clearly none of this is ideal.
