I personally wasn't offended. If your religion has 2.1 billion+ members and you still feel persecuted, you need some help, and you need to take yourselves less seriously. You worship an invisible Jewish zombie for Christ's sake.
I wouldn't mind seeing some Muhammed avatars, too. My favorite avatars are the tiny cute ones (sorry I don't have any pics) but you know, the ones that barely reach your knees. //I have a George Bush avy, too. |

And if you knew ANYTHING, you would know that Christians around the world are actually one of the most persecuted faiths in the modern world. Im sure there is something that would offend you, but I sure wouldn't openly use this for cheap thrills. Try learning to consider others, you ignorant fool! > Bulldog >![]() _____________________

"Thou shalt not beat false witness", does that mean anything to you? |

*sips coffee*
that was a wild morning...sipping coffee...chatting with others , watching super heros appear...and in walks Jesus! carrying his cross. "There's Jesus!" i said. The convo turned to "the da vinci code" and other relevent books...and then a Mary Magdelene-like person, in her own way, demonstrated how the "holy grail" may have started. |

I wouldn't mind seeing some Muhammed avatars, too. Yes! I was just about to post the same thing. I would love to see a Mohammed avie with a multitool that just walked around hugging people or whatever. That would be so cute. _____________________

That's Pete Fats. When I met him 2 years ago he had the very same avatar and I couldn't stop laughing at him. He hasn't changed much in 3 years. Pete's a charming little trouble maker and creator of stuff that brings sim performance to a screeching halt. By accident of course. Uh huh. ![]() _____________________

Mmmmm...nothing like profaning the sacred in the name of fun, hmm? For the life of me I can't understand why all those Christians in The Sandbox feel so persecuted. -Kiamat Dusk You mean aside from the ones that condemn every nonchristian to hell? No sympathy. Excuse me, but it is in bad taste. And if you knew ANYTHING, you would know that Christians around the world are actually one of the most persecuted faiths in the modern world. Im sure there is something that would offend you, but I sure wouldn't openly use this for cheap thrills. Try learning to consider others, you ignorant fool! > Bulldog >![]() Bzzt wrong, try again. Christians PERSECUTE 10 times more than any other faith and are by far the LEAST persecuted. _____________________

He was so excited to show me the start of a new scripting project he's working on after getting the idea from a thread I started. I usually don't add people to my friends' list very quickly, but he went on right away ![]() I can't wait to see the outcome of his project -- he promised me I could help to beta test it! _____________________

Bulldog, try being an atheist sometime; nothing like being one of the most hated minority groups in the US (and frequently beyond).

An image of Mohammed will be even worse. If I recall correctly Islam completely forbids creating any images of Mohammed. That's the reason it had to be edited out of South Park. In this day where cultures are no longer isolated by distance and deserts we have to try our best not to offend people. In SL this means avoiding creation of any religious figure unless you are of that faith. We may be taking lightly what someone else takes very seriously. _____________________

I can draw jesus any way I want, same as mohommed or buddha. I really don't care if I offend since alot of those cultures don't care if they offend me. Why should I not burn an image of mohommed if Iran is burning the US flag. Give me a REASON to not offend them..if you can. _____________________

Why should I not burn an image of mohommed if Iran is burning the US flag. Give me a REASON to not offend them..if you can. It's called diplomacy. When you offend someone, you close the doors to possibilities. The person you're offending today just might have become a great friend down the line. I have friends who are Catholic, Pentecostal, Episcopal, Christian (avoiding specific denomination), atheist, agnostic, Wiccan (if you count this), pagan, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu. Give me a good reason to offend them. _____________________
