If the Cornfield does exist, then I don't care if it wastes resources or even if the criminals think it's a joke. It's freaking hysterical, yes it is. And it says something about the personality of the people at LL, which is that they do have a sense of humor, even when we take our virutal lives oooohhh soooo seriously. Go LL.

If it's a hoax, it's a good hoax and managed to get a good amount of buzz. Whoever orchestrated that might be a griefer pain in the butt, he/she/it is also quite a PR showperson. Gotta give credit where credit is due, you know?

I like how people still doubt even though Philip confirmed it's existance. As for the resources, I'm sure they hooked it with another Linden sim and they run on the same server. Nothing would need to be very stable to support it, because there's nothing to even lag the sim at all.

This is actually what I thought of too. They happened at the same time, and I think I even mentioned it to one of my friends.

Well, considering how secretive the LL where being about it and refusing confirming it existed or not, the Cornfield would be considered a "black site", all the way until Robin confirmed it. It probably would still be, since no one knows where it is.

It wasn't secretive, no one had asked about it before. When they were asked, they said that it did exist.

Where was it confirmed? Not that I read everything on the forums, but I'd really like to know since I might have missed it.

Seriously, I'm not gonna believe in this place until King Philip himself takes me there to see it.

Robin said so! In the Hotline/Linden Answers!

And if Robin says something, I totally believe it!

It's located just above the Valhall sim, and it's invisible so you can't see it.

I don't think Robin was lying. I think she was playing along. It certainly has generated a lot of press, considering only one resident on the forums claims to have been there and the only pictures are by the same resident. It's a lovely hoax, good work Nimrod!

Have I earned my troll wings yet? Have I? Huh huh huh?

Ahem, way back when I was the one who first suggested the cornfield so I demand proper respect and compensation from the Lindens and everyone else who profits from my idea. :D

You got my respect and admiration for it, Susie! I love the "cornfield" idea.

But - is it real or not?

I don't think that they are gaining any money from it, but I'm sure they'd let you pay for the sim!
